golf de chartres - fontenay

Lovely little place. Large range for practice, fun 9 hole pitch and putt course suitable for beginners, large very well kept putting green and a decent 9 hole course for the more serious. Nice clubhouse and bar, open for lunch. Friendly welcome (speak good English). They have invested a lot to set this place up - well worth a trip to support them if you are in the area.Hard to find (they are waiting for permission to put up signs in the village). For now, ask at Bar de la Mairie or with that bar on your left, take 2nd right and 2nd left - road becomes unmade, don't worry keep going, that nice new building you can see at the end is the clubhouse.
