We did not try all the attractions, as most of them were closed (end December), but the "fantasticable" was just brilliant, and is really a no miss in the area. But on top of the activities, they created cabans (in trees or not), that are absolutely incredible. We spent 2 nights in "Rêve de Gosse" and 1 night in "Rêve de Pêcheur", and both cabans were just great. If you plan to go to the Vosges, this is really something to do!
This natural them park is what you are looking for if you feel like flying high, climb trees and jump into nature. The 3 degree tree trails to follow is available for all degrees of experience. The equipment is top quality and at no time will you have a doubt for your safety! For the cable ride. I recommend reserving your departure in advance. The season is short (last day for this activity every day ends in November. Any time after this date, you need to call and reserve. If you show-up without notice, you might have a chance to ride if there are any cancellations for that day. There are nature walks with guides organized as well. Not to forget the final jump of the day. For the bungee jumpers out there. This is not the scariest jump you will do. But its worth doing it.Again, the staff may look young, but are very professional and the security measures before you do any activity are without failure.Just go and have FUN!!JAMES
We spent a full day in the park with our family of 2 adults and 2 kids (13 and 11 years). But kids loved it and were able to keep busy all day long. They could climb on different levels. The oldest one (boy) the more difficult parts and the younger daughter slightly easier. Also we did the Fantasticable descent of 1300 meters. That was really awesome, although scary when you think to much.
We went here for my birthday and it was so much fun! A bit like go ape in the UK, but with more stuff to do! I think you can easily spend a full day here with a range of outdoor adventurous things to do. The black track was pretty hard but good fun! We were with children, teenagers and young and older adults here with plenty to do for everyone.
This was the mostly awaited activity by my 10 year old daughter during our 7 day our trip to Alsace, and the one mostly dreaded by me (mom) and dad!Bol d'Air turned out to be a fun experience for all of us. We did that after doing the all weather luge at Col de Shlucht, Bresse-Hohneck and after a hour and half drive from Colmar. (There was a jam at the entrance of a village due to road works so the trip took 30 minutes more on a week day!) This was our first trial at Accro-branche or forest top trails...After being assisted with the gear (Helmet and Harness) we attended a briefing session and did a trial trail supervised by the park operators, then we were off on our own (there was always an operator nearby - at least where we were). The trails go gradually up with difficulty and height, the next one being more physically demanding and higher up in the trees .Little ones have the yellow trails specially dedicated for them. Kids above 8 can start at the Green trails around 3-4m above ground. The Blue trails are around 5m above ground and kids below 10 must be accompanied by an adult. More challenging are the red and then black trails. As beginners and in around 3 hours, we did 2 green trails and 2 blue trails with our 10 year old daughter. We truly enjoyed the experience and recommend it, Green trails are very basic, and Blue trails easily done by 10 year old,There is another activity the Fantasticable that was recommended by visitors where you'd fly on a zip wire above the forest at a 80-100 km / hour. I had wanted to do that but I opted for sharing the whole experience with the family and non was adventurous enough to try it. In any case, should you want to try that, book for it at the entrance then do the trails and come back for it.If you are keen on high adrenalin sensations, you can try rope diving or bunjee jumping as well...In any case this is an activity enjoyed by families with kids of all ages, and the drive up the Voges is enjoyable and very scenic!
We paid €45 for our son to do the treetop wire routes and the "Fantasticable" (a 1350m long zip wire) though the other 3 of us also needed to pay €5 each just to walk round with him - not sure that's great value but I reckon our son had €45 worth of fun. The lady behind the desk explained that we needed to come back at 2pm, but failed to stress that this was the booking time for the Fantasticable and we understood that 2pm was our time to enter the park as a whole. We went off to do something else and returned at 2pm as instructed to be pretty much ignored. Nobody checked our tickets (where the 2pm time issue might have been clarified) so our son was fitted out with helmet, harness etc and did some wire routes. We then presented ourselves to the Fantasticable desk (once we'd found it after asking a couple of people) to be told we were late. It then became evident that we should have been there at 2pm and could have entered the park for the wire routes when we bought the tickets at about 11am. With a bit more communication (especially for those whose French is basic) I would have nothing negative to say in this report as the attraction itself is great. Our late arrival for the massive zip wire wasn't a big deal though as they just fitted him in at the next opportunity (30min wait) and he had a great time. He then went on to do the black treetop route which is tough. Really very physical and challenging, but he made it. Overall a great attraction with a good mix of activities and price options and with a better initial explanation it would have been perfect.
I went in winter, all the "sport activities" were closed, but the place is very interesting. In winter you have hotel rooms and apartments to rent plus a ski rent shop.Is not luxurious, but it's very correct and easy to find and to be there (on the main road between the "town" and the ski area of Honeck)
A bientôt !
