sataplia cave and nature reserve

National park for nature lovers. You will see the sceleton and traces of dinosaures, wild bees living in a rock, cave... Nice place to spend a time. Park is located in a forest on rocks. In summer time there is open restaurant and other attractions (but not in winter time).For visiting the park plan approx. 1,5 hours, plus for eating, relaxing etc.

Place is very nice and interesting. Only thing that was annoying and made me really mad was that Translator had this terrible accent and no one understood while he was speaking.,but that's not the end. He left us in a middle of the park, Gave us wrong Direction. We've been walking in woods for 2 hours to find a exit.

It's really very beautiful place to visit, if you didn't saw prometheus cave yet. I think, most interesting are dinosaur footprints and glass floor bridge (or something like that) with a beautiful view on Kutaisi.

I liked it, and there was an English tour going on when we got there.We had to wait a loooong time to start the trip though.It was interesting to see the footprints.But really, just wait ill you get to Prometheus!

After you have been to the Prometheus cave, this cave is kind of poor. All the dinosaurs models looked like big toys. When we arrived there was no English tour anytime soon, so we decided to join a Georgian tour instead of waiting at least an hour…

We came here in the late afternoon and enjoyed a nice walk through the reserve, visting the preserved dinosaur footprints, walking through the forest, going into the cave (I've seen better, but nevertheless) and at last- arriving at the view point with a panorama of Kutaisi.

The place was very informative from the time we entered the building where dinosaur footprints were preserved to the Jurassic Park and until we ended up in the cave. Although the cave is not as long a distance as the Prometheus Cave. For a great panorama of Kutaisi, the nature reserve park has a glass skywalk.Sataplia Cave and Nature Reserve entrance with tour guide is GEL 6.00 per person

In the Park there are real footprints of dinos who lived on that territory. Cave with hart shape stalagmite inside... the air in the cave is good for people with asthma or similar problems! and its really special

Its stunning to see the footprints which are tens of millions years old. Some dino stepped into the clay and walked by. And afterward the huge length of history we can see these, as it was half an hour ago.Viewing point with some great piece of modern design is hanging from the cliff providing amazing view. Some walk up the hill is necessaryCave itself, while not that amazing as nearby Prometheus cave (Kumistavi), still very nice and deserves the visit. No single visitors, groups only, approx 1.5 hrs

one of the more popular but less attractive caves in Kutaisi area. the reserve is well known for having preserved dinosaurs' footprints. there is a small visitors center, footprints preservation area, forest with dinosaurs models, a path in a cave (probably around 400m), a small museum with dino's skeleton, a cafe and a viewing platform with transparent glass floor. worth to combine a visit with Prometheus Cave (the more amazing cave) - by taxi a 3-4h visit to both caves including waiting time and return should cost 50-60GEL from Kutaisi city center. entrance fee in FEB14 was 6GEL pp.

Sataplia Cave as well as Prometheus Cave are the most popular attractions in Imereti region. We visited Sataplia in the morning when there were less tourists. Groups of tourists are guided by the guide every 20 minutes. The entrance fee for Prometheus Cave and Sataplia Cave is the same GEL 6 (EUR 3). Sataplia Cave is famous for dinosaur steps. To attract tourists, they also placed models of dinosaurs that were moving and moaning and looked like alive. But most of all I liked transparent field on the top of the hill. You are given special sneakers not to damage glass. It is very scary to stay on this transparent field but you can see Kutaisi from there and it is worth seeing.

Очень красиво и познавательно.Очень красивая пещера,красивее даже некоторых крымских Гордость пещеры - огромный сталагмит «Каменное сердце», по форме напоминающий человеческое сердце. Это интересно,я таких больших не видел пока. Красивые места, Запоминающиеся события,особенно с патриотом экскурсоводом(((К сожалению специально проводил экскурсию на украинском от самого себя для нас 5 русских.Чего мы ему плохого русские сделали.Эх политика -она везде(((

Впечатляют следы динозавров - никогда до этого не видел. Красивый парк, скала, приятное место. А обзорная площадка просто бомба! Не могли детей оттуда забрать...там пол стеклянный! И ходить по нему надо в войлочных тапках, как ВОЛК в "НУ, ПОГОДИ!!!" Прикольно

Zaten batum tiflis yolu üzerinde fazla gezip görülebilecek yerler olmadığı için gezmekle mükellef oldugunuz bir yer olarak düşünebilirsiniz. Mağara aslında astım mağarası türünde(Gümüşhane, karaca mağarası gibi) bolca sarkıt ve dikitlerin olduğu bir mağara. Hem açık hava müzesi tadında içinde dinazor maketlerinin de olduğu bol manzaralı bir saatlik yürüyüş yapılabilecek doğal bir park da mevcut. Ayrıca gerçekten dinazor ayak izlerini de bu mağarada bulabilirsiniz.

Мы много проехали в окрестностях Кутаиси. Одно из самых запоминающих посещений была прогулка по национальному парку Сатаплия, в котором есть пещеры, но главное- есть следы динозавров. Вообще этот регион знаменит своими пещерами, тут их великое множество, более 600 исследованных, а сколько еще маленьких и никому не интересных.Гордость пещеры - огромный сталагмит «Каменное сердце», здоровенный каменюка по форме напоминающий человеческое сердце. Это интересно и взрослым и детям. Очень довольны прогулкой... Красивые места, лечебный воздух... Запоминающиеся события
