Such a beautiful place! Everybody seems so happy for relaxing or just being there. Many are there looking for the healing properties of the water. It was so interesting to study about it. I was curious and give it a try... Wasn't my best idea, because it tastes awful. But I'll definetely come back and try it again... Anyway, it worths to go at least once in there.
I visited this lovely place with some friends. They took us here, and it was really amazing and relaxing here. The archtiecture along is amazing, and the gardens and area around it is so pleasant to walk around. There is a cafe, and a little shop if you need anything as well at the far end of the Colonnade. Do not miss this place.
Nice views, well maintained, free mineral water inside the adjacent drinking hall. Live music from the West Bohemian Orchestra in summer.
Colonnade in Marianske Lazne is much smaller than in Karlovy Vary but architecture is great and varied and feels very welcoming.Park itself is clean and statues very interesting. Healing springs are accessible and free of charge during a day. There are also shops with souvenirs, refreshments and pharmacy.
Walking the colonnade and taking the waters is what visiting Marienbad is all about. Don't forget to finish off with a spa wafer from the blue-fronted Kolonada shop nearby.
Very beautiful place to visit especially in the evening when they have the fountain dance to the music. Impressive.
This architectural gem should be right up there with the Eiffel Tower in Paris ! As soon as you arrive on the square to admire this magnificent spa colonnade, you don't know what to say. The wrought iron is so carefully designed. And the frescoes on the ceilings when you walk inside the gallery just add to the magic. On the left-hand side of the colonnade is where the different drinking fountains are. Depending on what kind of spa fan you are, some of the water is quite acidic and at a high temperature (40 to 52 degrees). But the experience of tipping your cup to gather the spa water and then walking inside the arcaded colonnade admiring the ironwork and frescoes is simply wonderful. Well worth the trip out from Prague by train!
Lovely for a nice stroll, admiring the view and sampling the healing waters. Packed with people during the nice weather and very enjoyable.
The Colonnade itself is beautiful, but if you consider the whole place and compare it with other cities of this type, I dare to say it is the worst. I do not understand why there must be shops with their advertisements and plates inside the colonnade. If you never visited any spa city, than you could find this amazing, but if you had, you would not consider visiting again.
The Colonnade is situated almost on the top of the city, 5 minutes walking from the center of the city through a really nice and maintained park. The main attraction there is of course the singing fountain and lots of mineral springs. The place is really nice and I can recommend it to families, couples, anybody who just wants to enjoy the day, doing nothing, just drinking the mineral water. There is not so many people so the place is not crowded for the whole day but when the singing fountain really starts to sing, at evening also with light effects, to place becomes really crowded with people and you can see the fountain well. People also gather around the fountain in advance to have their "places" when it starts to sing. Anyway, awesome atmosphere, not repeatable experience!
There are jazz bands every weekend playing for free in the middle of the Mlynska Colonnade, you can listen to them as long as you like.
A nice promenade where you can take pictures, sample the mineral water. I think that can honestly be said for all of Karlovy Vary. :)
it's just impressive; the whole city is a museum with old buildings from different styles, you should travel there once in your life
Mineral water is very good. Colonnade is in very good shape after reconstruction. Park area around the colonnade is also being reconstructed.
Elegant promenade space reflects glories of bygone age.Informative posters, lovely frescoes and architecture.Magnificent restoration of a lovely spa town highlight
