The interior of this church is well worth a visit, but while you are there be sure to go back outside and climb the tower to the top of the righthand church tower. It costs about $0.75, and you go up and down a unique dual spiral staircase. The views from the top let you see absolutely everything in the old part of town.

Church of Saint Maurice is a Roman Catholic Church, located in the city centre. 1402 and 1412 twotowers, 1492 - consecrated, 1572 Renesance Tomb from Václav Edelman of Brosdorf, 1740-45 church organs largest in Central Europe (autor Michael Engler), 1861 was built Neo-gothic altar, 1995 - National Cultural Landsmark. If you get a chance, hear an organ concert in this church like we did. That was a seriously impressive sound! Also, visit the church tower. After a scary and dizzying climb up you are treated to a great view of the city!

Magnificent old church with a famous organ. The organ pipes are decorated with images of angels. Docent spoke English and was helpful.

St Moritz church in Olomouc is one of the city's most notable landmarks.Built on the site of an earlier church that was destroyed by lightning in 1398, the church of St Moritz took a century and a half to complete and is one of the best examples of Early Gothic architecture in the Czech lands. Highlights are the stained glass windows, the main Gothic altar, and the Mount of Olives sculptures that once adorned an external crypt but were moved inside for preservation.St Moritz also boasts one of the world's largest pipe organs. In addition to regular services, the Engler organ is used for recordings of classical music and the International Festival of Organ Music, which begins annually in late September.The taller of the asymmetric pair of bell towers survived from the older church. The viewing platform on its roof is accessible to the public via an elegantly intertwining pair of spiral staircases as far as the level of the bells and a more modern steel construction from there. It's quite a climb but the 360 degree views are the best in Olomouc and entry to the tower is a symbolic 15CZK.

С крыши колокольни открывается шикарный вид на весь Оломоуц. Подниматься приходится по винтовой лестнице, которая дублируется внутри. Поднимаешься по одной лестнице, а спускаешься по другой. Не петепутайте, иначе разминаться со встречными людьми довольно трудно.

Esta igreja de São Maurício é do final do século XV, e tem o maior órgão da Europa Central e utilizado em celebrações especiais. Se tiver um tempo suba até a parte superior da Igreja e veja a bela vista que a torre proporciona de Olomouc.
