I visited the castle on my own. From the outside, it doesn't look very impressive. However, the inside of the castle has been renovated extensively and has been renovated regularly during its history. As I was alone, I received a private tour through the castle. I received the description of each room in a booklet that I read upfront and then walked through the castle. The castle has kept items from different periods of its history which gives you a good picutre of what it looked like originally and how it had been reconstructed over the centuries.A bit pricier than other castles in the region, but definitely worth the visit. If you want to take pictures inside the castle, you need to pay extra. Initially, I though it was exaggarated, but once inside, with a good camera, I think you can make nice pictures.

Etwas abgelegen sitzt die Festung von Sternberk - sehenswert ist sie trotzdem. Von Aussen gibt es bereits eine sehr beeindruckende Ansicht der Festung. Man geht dann einen steilen Weg in die Festung - vom Hof gibt es dann einen schönen Panoramablick über die Umgebung. Eingang zum Festungshof ist kostenlos, wenn man dann die Appartements besuchen möchte, muss man Tickets für eine geführte Führung kaufen (Tschechisch und gelegentlich Englisch geführt) - wenn man mit der Tschechischen Gruppe mitgeht, bekommt man eine schriftliche Beschreibung der Räume. Man sollte schon mind. 1 Std. für die Führung reservieren, aber der Besuch lohnt sich.Sehr empfehlenswert

Hrad procházející všemi styly.Zvenčí možná nezaujme velkolepým zdobením či krásou,ale vnitřek určitě stojí zato.Byť se hrad vrátil do soukromých rukou,jeho majitelé se snaží přiblížit majetek svých předků návštěvníkům i dnes.Rozlehlé prostory,zajímavá historie,Nádherný výhled.
