mount ulriken

4月初去的，乘缆车到山顶，山上全是雪，是个徒步的好地方！我们一脚深一脚浅得走到湿鞋，还差点掉进冰封的河里~山下景色也超美！

This is another must do and see if visiting Bergen. The first time I went the weather was bad, really misty which meant the view at the top wasn't good. The second time I visited I decided I must go again as the sun was shining and hopefully the view would be better. The cable car is a bit shaky but the view at the top is fab. There is a cafe selling the normal tea, coffee and cakes. You can stay as long as you like and there are walking trips if you're fit and up for it. If you don't want to take the cable car you can walk, all too much for me though.

Took the toughest way uphill and was blessed with fantastic weather and view on the top. Nice restaurant with 360 degrees view, really good food and a glass of wine. Been here several times, and you can also take the gondol to the top and walk down if you like, or gondol both ways.

Fantastic view, but make sure it is not foggy. That sort of spoil the view.... Bring hiking shoes as it is nice terrain for a walk innland from the top.

This maybe combine the best of Bergen. After seen the town from "floor level" you can have a great view of Bergen from 643 above sea level. Remember good footwear if you are fitted to walk all the way up/down (recomended).

Drop the funicular, hike up the mountainside. Tracks are obvious, lots of other hikers ususally. Just follow the trail in the forest behind the cable car station. A bit steep at the top, but that just feels great. Better not walk up while icy though!

Absolutely awesome spectacular view of Bergen! A bus takes you to the cable car station, then you ascend in a comfortable car to the peak. Once there, you may view the city from the comfortable platform outside the restaurant. Or you may hike the area to get close up to nature and see even more scenery. This does not take much time and is well worth the small cost. I knew Bergen was a beautiful city, but up here made me appreciate just how extremely beautiful it is!

absolutely ultimate Place With a very special atmosphere. never as crowded as Floyen, Uriken is not only an amazing lift in the cabin and remarkable urban/bay view from the highest of 7 Bergen Mountains. It is also atonishing nature. Dont be lazy, have a walk "on the other side", have a look at the valley and mountain Chains. The restaurant is Authentic, good, very "koselig", which means "cosy" in Norwegian =) a Place to be for families, couples and friends )

You start climbing the mountain beneeth the cable cabin and after 600 mtrs you are on top of Ulriken. You can also take the trip with the cable cabin. After a short rest (you can also get drinks and use the toilet on the top), you start walking towards the Fløyen (around 11-12 kilometers walk). Downhill you can walk on several tracks throught the hillside or you can take the famous Fløybanen down. Spectacular view from the top of the mountain and everywhere.

If you want to be "on top of Bergen", this is the place to go! The view is AMAZING, but the weather needs to be clear. A crystal clear winter day is the absolute best, but watch out for the meteorological phenomenon called "inversion". In Bergen this traps smog that sits as lid on top of Bergen. In Mount Ulriken, you are above this layer and will not be able to see much of the city center and its nearest surroundings. Also, please remember that you have to dress for cold weather and possible windy conditions in the mountain! A nice summer day also displays a very pleasant view, but it might be a bit hazy, depending on temperature and weather conditions.

If its real Begen weather bring enough clothes. If you like hiking, take the cabelcar up and walk to Fløien "over vidden".its about 12 km. It can be windy so bring enough clothes. The trail is well marked. On a windy day also remember that the cabelcar closes without notice for security reasens, so evaluete before you go there. You can call them and ask for status. The best view of Bergen from atop the mountain. If you just want the view (and a meal) take the cable car up and down. If a bit braver, walk down, or even better, walkm (hike) across Vidden to Mount Fløien. In the latter case yoiu need proper clothing, this is a mountian! Enjoy!

I walked up... well, but was rewarded in the end with a nice view, water supply and a good time on top of Bergen!

Mount Ulriken is the highest of the 7 mountains around Bergen, 643 meters above sea level. The view is just fabulous. There is a bus from the city center. You can choose to walk up if you are in normal shape. You can also go by tramway. At the top you can also by excellent food from Ulriken643 restaurant.

Took the local bus to the cable car rather than the tourist bus. Not totally obvious where to go when disembarked and a bit of a hike but we made it. The tourist bus bus stops right outside. Cable car trip fun and spectacular views from the top. Worth the journey.
