Only partially restored, the setting of the Temple of Juno is truly dramatic. Framed against the sky, beautifully lite up at night, you'll want to make the trek to it and sit down and enjoy views of it, the sea, and the entire Valley of the Temples complex.

One of several temples in the Agrigento complex so it's hard to rate it by itself. This one still retains enough of the original to give a good feel for the temple as it must have looked long ago. Do take the time to include it in your visit to the temples.

This entire archeological complex. including the Temple of Juno, was stunning! The complex is long and parking is a pain....it runs from east to west. Parking is on either side. It's a long walk to get back to your car. If you take parking on the west side, they will drive you to the east side. When you get to the west side, you must walk a bit more on a roadway (about 3 city blocks) to get back to the parking lot, but it beats retracing your steps should you have parked in the east lot. The park is loaded with ruins in conditions that are surprisingly well-preserved.

This was definitely one of my favorite parts. We had a tour guide with us and she told us all about the massive temple that once stood as a testament to the god. A wonderful place to go.

This temple offers a good opportunity to get acquinted with the classic distribution of the greek temples.

Amazing views of the Sicilian countryside located in the Valley of the Temples. A must visit site when visiting Agrigento

Dorric pillars and special energy. Great position of a Temple. For me, the ancient architectural achievements, that I allways like to admire.

Most: Perhaps the highest visible ruins in Agrigento. The reddish colour on some of the stone blocks indicating fire, fuels the imagination of what happened at the time. Quite extraordinary..Least: ...very little

If you come into the Valley of the Temples at this end of it you will start with this temple which is perched on the top of the hill. If you think this is a great temple then just stroll down the hill and come across the most complete one on the site, Concord. Giunone is one of the four or five temples you should see if your short of time for them all.

We did the 6 euro cab ride to the top (being 60+ yrs old a one way down hill sounded, and was, well worth the price) so this was our first ruin to see. I'm a bit of a history buff so this was SPECTACULAR!!! Greek ruins right here in Sicily..... and it got better.Don't miss the VERY old olive tree at the bottom of the hill....it's 1200 or so years old. Impressive!

If you start your tour of the Valley of the Temples at the top of the hill, this is the first temple you come to. It's not as complete as the Temple of Concordia, but it is majestic just the same. It was a good place to start the tour. We hired a guide for 10E. It's not necessary but he did provide extras that we wouldn't have known otherwise.

It is lacking more elements now than Concord, but just as regal. It is the highest in altitude, and last in line, so it gives the feeling of being a goal, and a feminine one at that. Looking out over the rich countryside, one can understand the worship of a mother figure being greater than that of a warrior (Hector). First comes fecundity, then peace (Concord), then heroism.

Those Greeks must have really respected Juno to create such a massive structure and sculptures. Make sure to go around the perimeter.

Very well kept, if you love to take pictures, what a sight, beautiful especially when illuminated, very easy to get to from B&B Santo Spirito.
