For several years now, I have had an interest in wine. Over the past few years it has become sort of a hobby for me, and when I met the amazing woman that is now my wife and she shared that interest, we started planning our first "wine-vacation".We visited within a week six different wineries. The fascinating element of doing that is that you get to see all the little differences in the production methods and yield. But the most important thing (I think) is to experience the passion and enthusiasm with each winemaker.We tasted Demarie's wines at home in Copenhagen at a winebar for the first time a couple of years ago, and fell in love with the Barbera d'Alba. An amazing wine with a full body, great complex notes and a very pleasurable balance between acidity and sweetness.Therefore we of course wanted to come visit Demarie and see where the magic was done. I therefore wrote Paolo and told him that my wife and I were going on our honeymoon in northern Italy and would love to come pay them a visit to see their production.We were the only people there and we were greeted by Luna and Zeus in the courtyard whom immediately started licking hands and jumping up both of us (what better way for two dogs to greet two strangers :)).Paolo greeted us both as well, and we started the journey through the family history, the expansion of the wine business and all the little details that define who Demarie family is.We were shown all of the production site and the stories sort of blended in with all the technical details, and both told with such passion (il passione), warmth and enthusiasm that you didn't for a second doubt that this was a man of passion and love for his work.Paolo walked us through all of the production and told about the future plans and about the small "hobby-projects" that he as well worked on.We "finished" the tour with a luxurious tasting of most of the wines accompanied with some great local cheese and sausages.We spent three and a half hours with Paolo, and we have never felt more welcome, and had the feeling that you were in the company of a man that were truly interested in us as well and definitely in his artistry.I will with all my heart and mind urge everyone whom has an interest in wine, or just like good wine to pay Demarie a visit. I guarantee you will get full value for your time spent there. You will have someone guiding you through the winemaking that are 100% present and grants you his undivided attention.So besides the fact that Demarie makes some of the best wines I have ever tasted, the Azienda Agricultura is definitely worth a visit, and I know that we will be back!Thank you for an amazing experience Paolo!Best regards,Karina & Martin

My husband had made contact with Paolo at Demarie via Twitter, so when we were driving in Langhe and Roero we decided to visit.We are so glad we made the trip.Paolo gave us a very warm welcome, then a comprehensive tour of the new building.The best part of the visit was sampling some of the superb wines - in the stylish tasting room. We were a group of four visiting Azienda Agricola Demarie for the first time. Paolo is a great host!!! After showing us around his new production facility there was plenty of time to taste some of his fantastic wines which were accompanied by great local sausassage and cheese. We will all definitely stop-by again the next time we go back! Thanks Paolo for making the visit such a wonderful experience!

I've been to Demarie's during a whole saturday afternoon. In those very pleasant moments I had the opportunity to know the history of the winery and the owners' family, plus the privilege of tasting the great wines.

Siamo stati in visita alla cantina sabato 7 marzo 2015 ci ha accolti Paolo, uno dei proprietari, che subito ci ha messi a nostro agio.Abbiamo iniziato a visitare i vari locali della cantina e lui ci ha spiegato in modo professionale ma allo stesso tempo comprensibile, i vari processi che vengono attuati fino all'imbottigliamento. Poi abbiamo avuto il piacere di fare la degustazione TOP, che rispecchia ampliamente il suo nome .Paolo ci ha trasmesso una forte passione per il suo lavoro, una grande esperienza e professionalità e la voglia di assaporare, anche se da principianti, il suo mondo. Complimenti alla cantina DEMARIE, ci torneremo.

davvero una bellissima esperienza. In occasione di una vacanza ad Alba abbiamo deciso di visitare questa cantina.Appena arrivati siamo stati accolti da Monica che dopo una breve introduzione sulla storia della cantina, ci ha mostrato la cantina spiegandoci con professionalità tutte le fasi della produzione dei loro vini; nel frttempo ci ha raggiunto anche il marito Paolo, anch'esso molto cortese e professionale che ci ha fatto assaggiare cinque dei loro prodotti offrendoci anche qualcosa da stuzzicare, abbiamo trascorso due ore veramente piacevoli.Grazie per la bellissima accoglienzaLo consiglio.

Paolo e Monica in fatto di ospitalità sono eccezionali. Ho ri-visitato la cantina con amici Svedesi che a loro volta sono tornati a casa entusiasti della visita e del vino.Io, da parte mia, ho rimpinguato un po' le scorte della mia cantina. Il loro Barbera Superiore è a mio parere uno dei migliori.Tra i miei preferiti anche il metodo classico For You.

Accoglienza squisita ed ospitalità.Ho passato un'ora con Paolo Demarie che mi ha illustrato con competenza il suo lavoro facendomi vedere la Cantina e tutte le fasi della lavorazione.Ho degustato ottimi vini rossi (Barbera D'Alba Superiore e Nebbiolo D'Alba) ed altrettanti vini bianchi (Arneis Roero e Lo Spumante Extra Dry da Uve Arneis).Consigliato vivamente anche per comitive.Prezzi dei vini molto interessanti e NON CARI.Quindi ottimo in tutto.Cesare A. Cercavamo un'azienda dove poter acquistare del buon vino e scelta non fu più che azzeccata. Appena arrivati la cordialità e la disponibilità di Paolo ci ha colpito. Poi la visita alla cantina spiegando tutte le fasi della lavorazione del vino è stata molto esaustiva e infine l'assaggio dei vari vini che abbiamo trovato ottimi. Come non ricordare con piacere la conoscenza del papà Giovanni che ha raccontato alcuni aneddoti di vita con il tipico intercalare piemontese. Speriamo in un futuro prossimo di avere occasione di ripassare in azienda,nel frattempo ci gustiamo l'ottimo vino che abbiamo acquistato.

Sono stati splendidi e ci hanno regalato momenti davvero indimenticabili. Abbiamo fatto il giro della cantina DeMaria e poi assaggiato il loro ottimo vino tutto insieme a una chiacchiera gradevolissima.

Sono stato all'inaugurazione (ottobre 2013) della nuova cantina, che si trova sulla strada da Borbore a Castellinaldo.La cantina è moderna ed accogliente, molto curata nei dettagli: dall'ampia vetrata che da sul paesaggio vitivinicolo del Roero, alla sala con le botti in legno, alla barricaia, al piano superiore su cui si può godere di un ottima visuale su tutto l'interno della struttura. L'accoglienza è calda e generosa: Paolo e Monica ci hanno accompagnati durante tutta la degustazione, facendoci assaggiare i loro vini (roero arneis, roero, barolo, barbaresco, moscato, ...) e raccontandoci del lavoro in vigna e in cantina...Super consigliato!
