If Art is supposed to stir a feeling in a person... Adelina has mastered this! Rarely has such simple, charming watercolor paintings evoke so much emotion in me. Most made me feel joyful, hopeful, beguiled. A few were more pensive. All were thought provoking. I bought 5 of her lovely and whimsical water colors but I wish I could have bought a dozen! Alas, I simply don't have that much available wall space.
we love these small original watercolors of houses, hills, flowers and tree groves. Our daughter sent us a small piece as a gift so we wanted to look up the artist while we were recently in Florence. Such soft loose watercolors that represent the true colors and feelings of the area. So glad we were able to purchase a few more small paintings for ourselves and as gifts. We were able to meet Adelina too. A wonderful treat.
Amidst the chaos at the Ponte Vecchio I came across Adelina - she had such sweet paintings of Tuscany I couldnt resist choosing a trio to bring home to remind me of our wonderful trip. Dont miss her just across the bridge on the left!
Was hard to make a choice out of so many beautiful aquarelles! Love the colours of the painting and the representation of the Tuscan landscape.
I loved Adelina's watercolours when I saw them in the window of her studio in Monticchiello, but she was not there that day, and I left very disappointed. What a wonderful surprise when I found her stall near the Ponte Vecchio in Florence! We bought a beautiful Tuscany landscape, and wish we'd bought more. As others have said, Adelina's watercolours are NOT the usual tourist product -- really wonderful work.
I bought arguably some of the most gorgeous art work last year when I was in Florence. Both pieces have travelled far and come home to South Africa with me.If you want amazing watercolours.go here!fantastica
Around the streets and squares of Florence are many artists selling their original paintings. I've never really been moved enough to purchase any before, until I saw Adelina's. Seated at the Ponte Vecchio on the south side, she had a small stall, just an easel, an umbrella for shade and a stand for displaying her work. Watercolour is such a difficult medium to use and Adelina makes it all look so effortless. Her range of paintings included people and landscapes. We purchased three landscapes (all are of actual places) and look amazing. Great prices for beautiful original works of art.
Simply beautiful watercolour paintings. She has some beautiful landscapes, but I fell in love with her pieces showing people. They are simple and stunning, and have the most wonderful ideas behind them. If you are looking at something be sure to ask about the meaning behind it, it sold me on two of her paintings! Found at a stall on the Ponte Vecchio.
Watercolors have a happy feeling. I purchased a 3 balloon pictures which give the feel on continuing from picture to picture. I just found floating frames that will really emphasis the pictures. I wasn't able to get on the website that was on the card, but would be interested in other pictures. Next time I go to Florence I will be sure to find Adelina again.
Beautiful watercolors--so refreshing. I brought one home, and it makes me think of Florence in the spring every time I look at it.
One word- WOW. Her watercolors are astounding, and her ideas behind her works inspire me. She is an inspiration. Her kindness and her willingness to share with us her motivations for the art blew me away. Thank you so much for sharing your art with the world.
I have been coming to visit Adelina's lovely small stand first at the Piazza Pitti and then at the Ponte Vecchio for over 10 years. I am in Italian living in the US with roots in Tuscany and her work inspires me and speaks to me with its simple poetry. Many painters on the bridge and the square imitate her light, airy, almost dreamy watercolor brushtrokes the distinctive perspective and choice of subjects, but if you want to purchase a reasonably priced, stunning, and lovingly produced souvenir of Tuscany, do yourself a favor and choose Adelina's originals. I have a series of Tuscany landscapes in watercolor, and one of her lovely children flying on balloons in my home: they speak so fondly and simply about the artistry and craftmanship of my country.I have given many as presents and keep coming back every time I am in Florence. Adelina remembers me from many years ago and is always nice to visitors looking for her on the bridge. This year she recognized me and gave me a gift: a piece from new series of poppies that is just stunning. Grazie Adelina per la tua semplice poesia ed i tuoi fantastici acquerelli che ci descrivono la spirituale bellezza della Toscana on un tocco lieve ed originale.Arrivederci a presto a Firenze!Paola
Adelina's modest stand at the Ponte Vecchio stopped me on my tracks, her work stood out from everything I'd seen and captured the serenity of the Tuscan Dreamscapes for me. Adelina's 'Balloon Dreams' with figures are so beautiful too, I can't wait to hang the ones I bought. Adelina also has a studio and rental which had we been staying longer I would have visited. When we are planning our next trip it will be top of my list.
We came across Adelina at her stand near the Ponte Vecchio and were immediately drawn in by the beauty of her distinctive watercolors. She was charming and gracious as we looked through her collection of striking pieces and it became obvious that the hardest part was going to be picking out just one - so we ended up picking three! Her style is original and personal, truly capturing the spirit of the Tuscan countryside. A lovely reminder of our time in Italy and well worth seeking her out in the throngs of tourists and vendors, which will be easy to do since her artwork truly stands out from the crowd!
