The Rhine port is the main entrance to the city from the Rhine side, it is one of the oldest dual port-sites on the Rhine and is one of the most important sites of the joint city reinforcements. The city side part was built around 1200. The two more than life-size Roman martial figures made from Tuff "guarding" the courtyard are vernacularly called "Andernacher Bäckerjungen" (according a 19th century legend).

De Rheintor is de oude ingang vanaf de boulevard langs de Rhein naar het centrum van de kleine maar gezellige stad.

Das Rheintor ist sehr repräsentativ und gehört zu den altesten Doppeltoranlagen am Rhein. Es ist sehenswert. Über dem Torwurde eine Wohnung erbaut.

Rheintor, es la puerta principal de entrada a la ciudad, cuando te acercas a ella, desde el lado del río.A nuestra llegada fue de las primeras cosas que vimos en la ciudad, y nos dió un rápido indicio de lo que, posteriormente, nos íbamos a encontrar en nuestra visita a tan interesante y bonita ciudad, Andernach.Desde los jardínes que están al aldo del río, se contempla perfectamente y os aconsejo que no dejéis de la fotografiarla desde este punto. Al mismo tiempo os sugiero que paséis por ella, y la contempléis con detalle, os sorprenderá y os gustará aún más.Tenéis que verla.
