a stunning place to visit and well worth the trip and some lovely places to walk the views were outstanding
The sand is lovely with numerous Tavernas and bathing areas. The beach slopes gently in to the sea. The sea is lovely and clear ideal for swimming and paddling.
Very clean blue water, beautiful view. It was interesting to swim near beautiful chapel, to visit ancient ruins. I was there two times in a week in Kos island together with my family. I recommend!
If you have time go there. Where else can you find ancient ruins on a beach! Not only that, you should swim across to the chapel and ring the bell. A must.
Water was amazing, clear and warm. Stopped on the way to a natural thermal spa in the sea. Ended up stopping for a couple of hours and having dinner at one of the beach bars on the beach
beautiful beach with cheap sunbeds and free use of canoes, Sea crystal clear and very safe for children as you can walk right out before it becomes deep. Lovely ruins by the beach.
Great little beach with nice views and a lovely taverna at the end of it, excellent sunbeds with friendly helpful owners and free use of the canoes
A long walk from the harbour and not a very large beach. However, it's the sandiest part of Kefalos, the ruins are fantastic to look around and it doesn't get too busy. You can also swim out to Agios Stefanos if you're a good enough swimmer.
Safe shallow water, nice beach, good views. Ruins of an old basilica to enjoy, or a small island to wade/swim out too; recommended!
Agios Stefanos Beach is a lovely beach, i do agree it isnt the best on the island but is at the top. A swim to the island is a great experience and would recommend it!The beach does have a few rocks but not too many. There are plenty of bars around to pick up a drink or snack.
Beach is a little pebbley but you don't notice it on a sunbed, The sea is great for windsurfing, Lots of bars back on too the beach so you can get drinks and snacks all day,
Agios Stefanos Beach stands in an isolated but nice area near Kefalos, around 6km from village centre. It is a nice beach, but there are several more nice beaches not far away and less windy.
what can I say? as I write this I have 8 days left before we go back there, roll on the holidays. we sometime stay with katerina at the apartments she hsa at her restaurant, on the beach. nothing better than just opening the door and stepping onto the sand early in the morn, sauntering down for a swim, then back up for breakfast. the best way to start the day. this review is based on every time i have come here, next visit is sept 23. visit here, go to the restaurants on the beach, have a beer with george in his beach bar, swim to the island and ring the bell, go and chill, its brilliant
This place has a very nice atmosphere with the ruins and the small island in front of it. The water is clear and shallow, which makes it a nice place for family...but the beach is so small and dirt! Apparently nobody takes care of it, what a pity!
We stayed on the far end of the beach (behind the ruins). It's clean , loungers cost 5euro for two people unlike almost 9 euro for Paradise Beach. In September it wasn't crowded. Also beach is not very wide so there is only one row of loungers (unlike other places). Good access to the sea, partially cleared of stones to allow easy access. Bay is framed on either side visually and there are other islands visible on horizon so it's not just relaxing and peaceful but also more interesting than just looking at sea horizon. Beautiful serene place.
