Not an art enthusiast myself, I did enjoyed this museum a lot. Firstly, entrance is free on Wesnesdays. Secondly, you get free wifi access. And thirdly, on the ground floor, you have access to either English or Spanish free audio guides on your mobile devices (via the free wifi) by scanning a QR code on the side of the doors before entering each room. The audio guides ranged from 1 minute to over 2 minutes long for the English version for each room. The only thing missing is the audio guides for the exhibits on the other floors! But still a very enjoyable museum anyway.
must visit this palacio. It is was a suprise for us to see so many art from south american artist. Sculpture of Eva perron is funny but beautiful.
There were some interesting older paintings, but the best part was a special exhibition from the years 1973-1986, detailing the years of the military dictatorship and the horrors that went on, particularly the disappearance of people, including children. There was a lot of torture, and it was a terrible time for the country, and deserves to be documented so it will be remembered.
This is a great art museum to check out not only the building's architecture but also the art inside! They had several great exhibits along with permanent pieces. Go!
The Palacio is truly gorgeous. What a wonderful transformation from country house to museum! When you enter, you will feel like an extra on Downton Abbey! The cafe is equally charming - a mirror is used for each place setting at the tables! The artwork is varied and interesting. A great museum!
Bizarre, disturbing "art". Violence against women and children, very gratuitous. Not in good taste. Nice building/architecture. Glad it was free
Simply exploring the massive and grandiose lobby is worth the 15 pesos (about $1.00 usd) to get in. The artwork was varied and impressive, but the building itself is worth seeing as well. Worth an hour of your time if you're in Cordoba with some free time on your hands.
Very good place to visit, just 15 peso. Learn and enjoy yourself in the art guarden.
The art in this museum is a mix of impressionism, avant garde, some moderist, a rotating exhibit and some odds and ends. All seemed to be Argentinian artists. Not a large collection, but nicely curated. The mansion it is housed in was more impressive to me than the art. The restoration of this building is masterful and worth seeing.
I have visited this museum a couple of times over the years and I thoroughly enjoy going there. It has an impressive collection of art by famous Argentine Painters and Sculptors. There is a restaurant where you can enjoy some refreshments or take a walk in the beautiful gardens. It comes highly recommended when in Cordoba. The building is impressive with a magnificent staircase. No photos were allowed when I visited but they did say I could take a photo of the room and not the individual pieces.
Beautiful collection of paintings by painters of the Cordoba region.Best Museum so far in north Argentina
Quite an impressive palace, recently restored and now used as an art museum. One ticket gets you into here and into the much more daring Caraffa museum, across the road on Plaza Espana. Some interesting pieces, and some disturbing ones (a series on a woman being tortured during the Dirty War was almost impossible to look at). Also temporary exhibits.
Palacio Ferreyra (Ferreyra Family Palace) is a beautiful castle, perfectly situated in the heart of one of the most attractive Córdoba neighbours, called Nueva Córdoba. The palace itself is spectacular, but add to that art pieces and a very nice park surrounding it. It is a must-visit in Córdoba.
This is one amazing building both inside and out. It has a beautiful central staircase and adjoining balcony; wonderful architecture. It is now a fine arts museum. Like many other buildings in Cordoba it has night time illumination.
The building in itself is worth the visit. It is next to the Caraffa Museum and a new sculpture museum across Plaza España. You can do all three at one outing
