Refugio Los Volcanes and the Amboro park what a beautiful place!!!. Maybe one of the best places I have ever visited in Bolivia. I travelled with my girlfriend on March this year with the wonderful company of Carolina and Nick from Nick´s Adventures as tour guides to discover this breathtaking place. Truly lovers of nature and animals, I am sure they are the only tour operators in Bolivia that could create this magic and mysterious environment to spot the wild animals and nature during our visit.Part of the adventure was to recover some camera traps that took photos of a beautiful Puma and other wild cats that were using the same path hours or days before!!. Take a look to Nick’s Adventures facebook page to check the photos. This is exactly what I mean with magic and mystery. We also had Condors flying over us and little Armadillos running over the paths. They also know very well the owner of the Lodge that we stayed at and this is the main reason we have enjoyed the best that this place can offer.Overall, Carolina and Nick are really nice persons and helpful in every aspect. It's a great place to escape the busy and smoggy city of Cochabamba. The air is clean and smells fresh like eucaliptus:) There are some waterfalls and lagunas (however, one need to know where to find them). During the rainy season, take a waterproof jacket and boots, as it is usually raining in the mountains. At the entrance of the park, there are also some picnic and grill facilities.

Had a wonderful day wirh our guide from chani tours samaipata. Went to the yungas cloud forest. Stunning views sometimes. Those fern trees are almost prehistoric! Learned a lot about flora fauna wildlife (and coca and local cuisine lol) from our guide( only spanish speaking guide.)Bring sunscreen lunch water camera and decent walking boots can be slippery some parts.

We did as jungle tour to Amboro park with Amboro tours.We really enjoyed ourselves.Our guide was brilliant and was very patient with our limited Spanish.The food was fantastic, and the walks were great.Due to over poaching in the park the quantity of wildlife is a bit sparce compared to say the pampas tours.The camping equipment could really do with being updated.We found the tour company great, very accommodating.

Es un parque natural lleno de exuberante vegetación natural y una topografía impresionante. Tiene mucha vio-diversidad (flora y fauna) propia de la zona. Es uno de los parques naturales más hermosos que he visitado.

We zijn 1 dag vanuit Samaipata door Amboro National Park gelopen om de reuzenvarens te zien (geboekt via Tierra Madre tours). De gids gaf veel Engelstalige uitleg en met de dichte begroeiing ben je echt even in een andere omgeving. Leuke dagtrip.

Un lugar hermoso no hay otra palabra para describirlos, nos adentramos en la selva virgen donde no hay rastro de vida humana y el ecosistema no se ha quebrantado, es realmente maravilloso y un lugar al que definitivamente le gustaría regresar...

Uno de mis lugares favoritos para aprender y descubrir a través del ecoturismo comunitario! Personas de la misma comunidad hacen de guias para el trecking, hay instalaciones especiales para recibir huespedes que tienen malla para mosquitos sobre las camas (super necesario) y hamacas! Las personas de la cominidad tambien les ofrecen alimentacion y jugos frescos. Aconsejo comprar un vinito y cosas como velas, pastas dientes, mani, pasas y galletas en el pueblo de Buenos Aires, Santa Cruz ya que después no hay donde comprar nada. Llevar linterna, repelente, protector solar y malla.

La visite du parc, bien que limité par rapport à sa taille, est magnifique. De belles balades, des cascades et des paysages de jungle incroyable. Nous avons visité grâce à AMBORO TOURS (depuis Buena Vista), et attention exigez un bon guide !!! Certaines parties en période de pluie demandent une certaine expérience, de plus le notre (Miguel, mythomane et voleur) nous a piqué près de 200$ avec le sourire. Alors méfiez-vous !! Le mieux étant de ne pas en prendre avec vous. D'autre part, l'équipement de camping est vraiment rudimentaire! Emportez votre matos si possible. En période de pluie, les rivières à traverser peuvent devenir infranchissables en quelques heures. L'agence ne vous le dira pas, mais vous pouvez rester bloqué 1 ou 2 jours de plus. Alors attention si vous avez des vols, ou autres engagements !

Ya estuve dos veces en este parque, una vez entre por la parte de Samaipata y la ultima vez que fuie lo hice por buena vista, por el alberque ecoturistico de la Chonta, las dos veces fueron fantasticas, recori senderos donde se pueden aprecia diversidad de flora y fauna, vi paisajes muy bonitos que no creo poder olvida, por supuesto el unico incoveniente son los mosquitos pero la belleza del lugar, hace que valga la pena
