The city prides itself with a one of a kind cable car, they claim to be the only cable car in the world that connects two beaches in such a way. All very nice, however something that unique might need to come with some better set-up too. The sweeping views are stunning indeed but you might ask yourself when waiting two hours in the queue to go back, how on earth did they set this up so wrong?! apparently, it's set up in a way, that you have to get off at the middle station. This creates a huge bottleneck and day in day out, at the end of the day, there are huge queues. No taxi's in sight, just some local rip offs trying to take advantage of the situation offering you some ridicules price to get you by car back to the base station, just to get stuck in the traffic for an hour or so. Therefore whichever route you take you get bogged down by bad planning and horrible infrastructure. it is so unique that no one has thought about how to get people out of there in a timely manner.Always leave the beach an hour or so before most people leave or catch a boat back, one of those Pirate boat rides, is a good option, however, you will be paying for the cable car there and back, since they don't have a one-way option (another stupidity) and on top of that a hefty price for the Pirate Boat experience. However, the cable ride and the views are fantastic, I just wish someone would think of logistics too.

If you are anywhere near Morro da Aguada, you must stop and experience this whole area. A cable car takes you up and over the mountain. Beautiful beach, quaint restaurants, and small shops. You can even ride a zipline!!

Absolutely a must if you love nature, gorgeous views and adventure.Modern cable cars will take you to the top of the mountain where you are offered a great range of fun attractions. All very well done and kept. From the sleds that take you on a adventurous ride surrounded by the jungle. To the paved trail surrounded by nature to gorgeous views in the gazebos, and for the more daring the zip line that will take you down the mountain (!!!) to the Laranjeiras beach on the other side.It is a bit costly but definitely worth it.

If in Balneario Camboriu this is a must, you will want to go to Laranjeiras Beach and other beaches further south while you are here so if you are not on an extremely tight budget (you wouldnt want to be visiting BC!) give the bus a miss and catch the cable car over to Laranjeiras, spend an hour or so at the top of the mountain walking around. If you are keen, catch the zip line back down the other side! it will cost approx $15USD to catch the cable car (return trip). All other activities, including zip line, at the top will cost you money, if you are not game or dont want to spend any more money you can just walk around taking in the magnificent views, local wildlife and jungle surrounds.

Balneario Camboriu is a city in the state of Santa Catarina in southern Brazil. While it is best known for its beaches, the city has another special attraction. There are two cable car lines which link the main city to the nearby beach at Laranjeiras. You have to first ride from the city to the top of a mountain which contains an environmental park. Adjacent to the environmental park are a couple of fun activities. These include a zip ride where you ride in a chair at around 60 kilometers per hour. There is also a car that makes close turns in the forested area at around the same speed. After your visit to the environmental area, you can take a second cable car down to the beach at Laranjeiras. It is a smaller beach than in Balneario Camboriu. However, it is more quiet and secluded. At the beach, you can eat food with one of the restaurants that offers shade with umbrellas. Food selections include appetizers, seafood and shrimp. The price for the cable car is 36 reais per person while the zip ride (line) costs 39 reais. It is best to leave before the trains close to avoid long lines. It is a nice way to enjoy your visit to this beach area of Santa Catarina.
