It is for sure a great art work to look at. Outside you don't realize how beautiful is inside. But once you got in you see Italian marble and European style inspired work. Worth to stop!

On the outside it doesn´t look like much but once you´ve gone in the artwork on the ceiling and on the walls are breathtaking.

This is without a doubt the best place to visit in Caxias. The church has an amazing architecture and art work which was performed by Aldo Locatelli which is a Italian-Brazilian painter. The art works took ten years to be completed and are considered his greatest works. The church also has a replica of the "The Pietà" sculpture by Michelangelo. The original one is at the St. Peter's Basilica, Vatican City.

If you like painting, this church is definitely a must-go place in Caxias do Sul. Don't be fooled by the facade (which isn't especially beautiful) - the real gems are all inside. Take your camera and hold your breath.

The church is probably the nicest one in the city. The frescos of Aldo Locatelli and the Pieta replica is a must see.

Not often will you find a church with wall paintings in Brazil so Sao Pellegrino is truly special. The architecture itself is pretty "normal", but once you walk inside you will see what the church is all about. Aldo Locatelli did a great job on the ceiling and walls of the church. Its three bronze doors by Augusto Murer are also spectacular. They depict the Italian emigration to the South of Brazil - from their arrival by sea to the works of builders, artisans and farmers, the importance of the family, Angel Gabriel representing peace. Do not miss out!

Painted not in a traditional manner of fragile Jesus, Locatelli's works make you look at the body from a different angle and impress you by the stoic power of suffering and pain..The Church is certainly worth a visit..

A different church with nice paintings from Aldo Locatelli, italian painting, a fantastic reproduction of Pieta , Michelangelo, a treasure of church. The best in Caxias, splendorous.

I went there in 2000 and still remember how amazing the paintings in the church were. Really impressive!

Obra prima...local onde estão as pinturas de Aldo Locatelli...uma das igrejas mais bonitas que conheço...lugar deslumbrante...quem não conhece vale a pena conhecer....recomendo

A igreja é tal alta que quase não consigo enquadrar. Achei interessante os afrescos e a réplica da Pietá.

Fiquei impressionada com os murais pintados. Muito emocionantes. Mas a cópia da Pietá é diferente do original...Foi uma visita muito legal!
