A beach for everyone - secluded but with a cafe and sunbeds at one location. Surf at one end and calm, warm rock pools for swimming at the other end. Cliffs, palm trees, white sand - perfect! Steps cut into the cliffs to access the beach or flight of wooden steps about half way along the beach.
This beach doesn't have as many people as Praia Central, but it's definitely windier. The waves are also a bit bigger, and at high tide there are a lot of surfers.
It's a very nice beach, lots of surfers, beautiful people strolling around and good to relax, take a dip in the sea and have a coconut water. Be careful with the sea as it can be pretty violent and dangerous (no wonder it's called the beach of drowning people - and the love beach as well). A nice place to spend a sunny day.
Too crowded. If you're looking for people and party, that's your place. It's nice, but just for a few hours (at least, for me!)
The beach is pretty but I don't recommend it for families. We had strong wind from SE resulting in waves breaking up to 3-4 meters. It is at least worth a visit. Good to take Picture before you clim down the stairs.
A little tough to get to using the steps down a cliff, but the views and beach are worth it. Easy walk into town when the tides are right.
This beach is great because its not overly crowded. There are a fair amount of people there, but the somewhat difficult way to get there means some people will go elsewhere. You can walk from another beach or head down the steps cut into the cliff. Once down, the beach is expansive and there are a number of bars on the beach. Don't get talked into paying for a chair and umbrella, just pick a good spot and buy some drinks from that bar and relax all day. What else do you need from a beach?! Good town in Pipa to hang out in before/after the beach and a fun place to relax.
Be carefull! We walked to south border looking for 'natural' swimming pools. They look fine, water was nice, but after 15 min in water, when we looked back for our things, all them (camera, car keys, cell phone, 250 reais, towels, clothes) were dissapeared. Nobody was surprised: local people DO KNOW that Pipa paradise in not 100% sure for turists.
Good beach, there are several barracas that offer beach service at reasonable price. Go east some 800 m and see the beach library, a must!
A praia é linda.
