A pleasant and neat caravan park on the top of the hill with big trees and lots of birds. Power at each one of the grassed sites. Tarmac for parking your van or 4x4 and ideal curbed parking for camper vans. The ablutions are really clean and have security access - which can be a bit of a problem at three in the morning if you have to run but have to punch six numbers into a lock to open the door. There is a laundry and a camp kitchen. And it is cheap to stay there - just remember you have to go to the garage to pay and get your access code. A good campsite to use as a base if you are going to explore the region or visit during flower season. While you are there, don't forget to visit the old church on the other side of town.

The park is owned and run by an extremely passionate and knowledgable botanist who provides a daily tour at 4.30pm each day to campers who are keen to learn more about the many different plants and flowers. Facilities are clean and adequate for the number of campers. Sites are level and are all located in a bush setting. A very special place to visit.

I would recommend this to everyone travelling in this area to stay at this park. Nice and quiet, nice walks and at 4.30 each afternoon Alan takes you for a walk around the park exploring all the wildflowers and explains each one we see. He is a very informative guy with lots and lots of knowledge on the flora in the park. We booked for one night when we arrived and have now extended our stay to 3 nights.

We had the opportunity of coming to the Mullewa Rodeo on the WA Day long weekend, 2013. We found the Caravan Park in excellent condition, excellent ablution block with brand new laundry facilities. We decided to stay a full week, then another week. The cost was only $20/ night or $97/week. The washing machines and dryers are only $2 per load. The camp kitchen is very basic with free electric barbecue, sink and table (all very clean). No hotplates, no hot water, fridge or microwave in the camp kitchen. Mullewa Caravan Park has 4 very large drive-through sites and about 20 standard van sites with GREEN lawns in between. The power and water connections are as new. We bought all our daily requirements in the town of Mullewa and then made a few one-hour day trips into Geraldton. We thoroughly enjoyed the visit including a trip to the pub (sensible prices) and the nightly visit from the camp cat. Thank you Mullewa

Highly recommend visit to Western Flora. Host Alan presents an excellent tour of his environment in plain English (with botanical subtitles ) concluding with a brilliant projected summary / display of samples collected from his property using a low-power (40x) microscope linked to an overhead projector - just wonderful stuff. Alan's ability to engage with his wide age-ranging audience is excellent.A most engaging and educating experience, not to be missed.

Alan Tinker 's enthusiasm for the ecology of the local Kwonga, his extensive knowledge, the motor bike frogs and lazy doorstop kangaroos make this heaven on earth. Please visit hear his message and support this wonderful place - stop coal and natural gas development.

After a long day driving from Geraldton through Mullewa and out to Gutha in search of beautiful wild flowers, we enquired availability for the same night stay at 6:30pm and received a warm welcoming response. They were not concerned at all about late arrivals as "they'll always be there" and cared more for our safety with driving at night. We arrived at 8pm and Allan checked us in happily and was also kind enough to let us check out whenever we're ready the following day. After reading superb reviews online about Allan's guided afternoon walk, a fellow traveller also commended his wealth of knowledge at breakfast and said we should stay an extra night to hear it.Unfortunately, we could not stay another night, but we did the wild flower trail on our own anyway. I think we took three times as long because there's just so much to see!!!Definitely a worthwhile visit during the wild flower season. Highly recommended to all.
