We had received very positive local endorsements to visit the farm, but did not feel that it was what we expected. If you go, please treat as if you are going to morning tea, lunch or afternoon tea, and you may not be as disappointed as we were.

5th or 6th time there in the last few years, really enjoy seeing the stags and does as well as emus. The grounds have enough trees for shade on a hot day. Worth a visit!!

We visited the farm and restaurant twice during our recent stay in Bright and our kids loved it! The hand feeding ($5 for a huge bucket of feed!) of the animals, the playground, the restaurant and the views all provided hours of fun for the little and big kids in our family! The staff in the restaurant were friendly and the meals were generous and reasonably priced. It's a short 4km drive off the Great Alpine Road but well worth the side trip!

This place is worth coming to, even if only to sit and have a coffee and look out over the valley. The view is stunning and is definitely worth a visit. My son can also highly recommend the milkshakes! The animals were an added bonus and it was great getting up close and personal with them.

A beautiful setting to see and feed gentle deer, of different breeds, close up. Other animals are also on few like kid goats and emus. The restaurant bakes the biggest, lightest, beautiful scones I have ever eaten. Grace, the owner gives the most interesting talk about the place and it's history. If in the area do make the effort to visit. I really enjoyed myself there.

Mum and I were on a bus tour that took us to this lovely place. The day was sunny and the animals were lively. We fed the gorgeous antlered stags - they eat so gently out of the palm of your hand. The emus try to butt in, but try and avoid their snapping beaks. The chickens and roosters cluck away near by and the baby goats are too cute. This is a great experience, good fun for all ages, and all whilst enjoying views over a beautiful valley with a winery and rows of grapes in the distance. We enjoyed morning tea in the rotunda like restaurant. The scones were the size of a small loaf of bread! With plenty of home made jam - yum - and cream, they are definitely worth trying. Grace, the owner and hostess, delighted us with her descriptions of how the farm was started and how it has continually evolved and thrived.Make sure you find the time to break your journey to visit here.

Spent yet another lovely day at the deer and emu farm overlooking the amazing views of the mountains and sharing a sensational meal with friends. There is always something new to see, baby chicks, kids and of course numerous deer, emu and ostrich. The staff are always very friendly and helpful and were happy to give us a tour of the luxury accommodation on site.I would highly recommend a visit to the farm at least if you have not got the time for a full meal.

This farm is a little off the main road but pretty much all tar road except the driveway. We found parking easily despite it being holiday season. Could get up close and personal with the animals with a couple of baby goats wandering around and being fed. Deer with wonderful antlers, emus, ostriches were just over the fence and food as available to feed the deer and goats. The lunch was very tasty with views over the valley to Bright and up to the mountains beyond.

If you love nature you must visit this place, loads of Emu's and deer's. Baby goats as well as chickens roam freely and you can feed them for a small fee. Great family interaction while enjoying the beautiful panoramic views

Just a few Kms off the main highway, this place is well set up with a nice restaurant, shop, car parking and plenty of animals to feed. Free entry but $5 per bucket of animal food - an assortment of deer, emus, ostriches and chooks all needing a scoff. Didn't eat in the restaurant but it seemed popular with indoor and outdoor seating and great views.

Brilliant in every way with something for everyone. Very welcoming. The kids pay a small price for a large bucket of feed to feed the deer (lots of this time of year), emus and ostriches. The baby goats and chickens wander around. The views are amazing across the valley and you can also have coffee/lunch in the restaurant while taking in the landscape. There is also snacks and trinkets......... along with the baby goals...... available for purchase.

We had a good experience at Red Stag - Deer and Emu Farm. The staff were pleasant and the food and views amazing. Found the staff a bit loud but maybe that was the time of the day we came

Had a great lunch stop at The Red Stag on our way home from a holiday. Was a bit of a wait on lunch but we were not at all fased, just taking in the fantastic view and relaxing. (Not to mention we did get there a little early for lunch, so the wait was not a problem, and completely understandable).Staff were very apologetic and helpful. Went above and beyond to look after us and provided a very friendly envrionment. Was very impressed with the service from Jimmy & Judith. Will definitely be in again if we are in the area.
