Have to thank Tam for coming out in the rain to still take us on our Horse riding tour of the property and rainforest. My husband and I (we were on our honeymoon) were the only two on the tour and Tam taught us how to ride very quickly, and she was very patient. Her knowledge of the property and the rainforest was excellent and made for a very enjoyable morning.WONDERFUL EXPERIENCE we must go back in the better weather to experience all the other activities they have there.
I was lucky enough to be the only person on the 2 hour horse riding tour. Pick up from my accommodation was a little delayed due to events happening in Port Douglas that day, but that can't be helped. My guide was patient with me as I had never ridden a horse before. She taught me everything I needed to know before setting out on the track. I got some lovely photos and videos taken along the way. Will definitely go there again, perhaps for quad biking or another event.
I started the quad bike trip however it wasn't for me so I pulled out within ten minutes. Upon inquiring about a refund (I thought it was unlikely but figured I may as well ask) the woman I spoke to was rude (which made me want the refund even more), she said it was highly unlikely however she'd get the manager to call me.... still waiting
Had the best day, daughter and I went horse riding and 3 boys went quad bikes, friendly helpful staff, nice lunch will be back for sure loved it...
Took the kids (aged 8 and 11) for a 2 hour trail and it was great. Would have loved to stay out longer but the day was boiling hot and we couldn't have taken it much longer, and the horses wouldn't have enjoyed it either, I'm sure! All staff were really friendly and smiley and laid back. No complaints there at all. The trail guide, Bert, was very good and obviously really experienced. Good with the kids. He made sure we were comfortable on the horses and gave good instruction then off we went.It was just a lovely experience being out in the rainforest with the horses. Talking of the horses, they were really really lovely animals and they knew what to do. You shouldn't be nervous if you're a first-timer.We self-drove, and it was easy to find the place. You could buy drinks at the bar if you wanted but plenty of ice-cold water was on tap which was what we needed. Next time we're in the area we might try the Australian Mustering Experience because we just liked the feel of the place all round.
