塔瑞噶野生动物园

真得值得玩。我和另一位客人都认为这是城市最漂亮的地儿。如果我没记错,动物园还有鸟的表演。动物园里还有不少动物,很轻松就打发一天啦。不过,在野生动物园玩要走不少路。这次我和在莫斯曼(Mosman)的朋友一起逛动物园,从酒店开始走,大概1个小时。虽然没有好天气,但孩子们肯定会爱上这里的。

在最近的几年里塔瑞噶野生动物园整修了,所有动物的围场都很棒。这里有许多不同种类的动物可供观赏,全天都有各种各样的表演。很适合成人及小孩,也很方便四周走动(甚至是推着婴儿车),有很多可看的。在这里很容易打发掉一天的时间,并且一点都不会觉得无聊哦!

我们傍晚时分才到那儿,因此在动物园关门之前我们没有多少时间了,那就意味着我们错过了一些动物,因为他们已经被移出观赏区了。不过动物园的陈设很好,对于腿脚不便或坐轮椅的人来说路稍微有点陡。缆车是个有趣的元素,它将人们从渡口区域带到动物园顶部。这家动物园很好,但我更喜欢墨尔本动物园。

我很喜欢这个地方,我跟别人的孩子每个月至少来一次呢。这里非常干净,管理有序,非常漂亮哦。这里的动物很幸运能看到这么美丽的景色,并且他们似乎都被饲养的很好呢。

塔瑞噶野生动物园对于家庭出游来说非常好。如果你计划前往,如果你想在那里看到最多的动物的话,我建议你计划在那里至少要四个小时。听上去是漫长的一天,确实是,但是当你到处走的时候,时间就飞逝了。我们在环形码头买了套票,包括了回程的轮渡、动物园门票、巴士和天际线。如果你是一家人去的话,你可以买一张家庭套票,会便宜一点。有一种选择就是变成动物园的朋友,只要成为年度会员,你只要花一次钱,就可以任意参观无限次了。对于当地人来说是很不错的选择。轮渡真的非常快,你会经过著名的悉尼歌剧院和悉尼大桥。在码头下来,有一辆巴士等着带你去主入口,或者你可以走3分钟到下面的大门。我们选择到主入口,然后朝下面慢慢走。我们参观过很多动物园,而塔瑞噶野生动物园非常有序,有很多空间,更不用说沿路的悉尼的醉人风光。周围有很多动物园管理员,我的建议是根据不同的动物园管理员的话和表演的时间,来安排你的路线。我们很幸运,看到了两场表演-海豹和鸟都非常富有娱乐性,非常有趣!不幸的是,我们参观的那天,天际线在维护中,但是我们看到缆车可以带我们到山顶的大门又回到码头。多么惭愧,因为它看上去好像很有趣。我们选择在一个食物集市吃东西,尽管那里很繁忙,但那里不需要等很长时间,那里有三间不同的商店可以选择,正如所预料的,价格很高,但是食物还是很美味的。我们花了时间去坐动物园小火车-20分钟环游动物园的两个部分。。。在我们的旅程快结束的时候,我们感到很累,这时候坐小火车是很好的选择。总的来说,我们度过了很愉快的一天-动物园有很多物种在展示,大部分的动物都是醒来的!很值得-我们一家三口大概花了250美元(所以还是不便宜的)但是我们参观了礼品店还吃了午餐。我们一家人这一天外出非常开心,看到了很多的动物。。。所以在我眼里,还是值得这笔钱的,但是我们是在假期:)

When you visit Taronga Zoo you not only enjoy seeing the animals but they have the best view in the world. The array of animals on display is world class and the facilities/displays are world class and fitting for each animals.

Just a few tips:1) the free brochures at the main tourist information near the Circular Quay frequently contain coupons that give you 10-20% off the ticket. Just check the validity of the coupon, some have expired but as I found out after my visit, there is always a valid coupon somewhere2) pay attention to the feeding times, especially if you are interested in koalas. They just sleep for 20 hrs per day and you might just see them with their back towards you and sitting still on a branch. The 15.30 feeding time got them moving and provided an excellent experience to finish the experience at the zoo.

Taronga Zoo will celebrate 100 birthday next year, Extensively renovated, very pleasant to walk through with some fabulous harbour views. The animal enclosures are brilliant, exhibitions well thought out with animal welfare the focus. The sleepover Roar and Snor was interesting where you can sleep in tents and do a night walk and a behind the scenes animal expo. The staff were brilliant and made the night. Accommodation was ok, tents with one double bed, one single and a small night table and yes electricity. Showers and toilets were in a common block, clean and functional but may not be suitable for everyone. Food was ok but more cafeteria style than restaurant, veal, chicken, lasagna (far to mushy) some vegetables and salads. Desert was a Magnum ice cream.The animal experience was ok, obligatory koala shots, seal pictures, a flying fox. etc. The price was more a donation to the zoo. Pleasant and different but overpriced.The rest of the zoo is definitely worth a few hours. Zoo can be reached by ferry from Circular Quay or by bus.

A seriously expensive day out for a family of 4.$200 for two adults and two kids under 8! Parking the car for $17 was a bit much.You get the first 90 minutes free,who goes to the zoo for only 90minutes! Eating there is ridiculously expensive and not particularly good.The bread used for sandwiches was stale and it was obvious they were not made fresh every day as there was a use by sticker on them.The children had four little pieces of chicken and chips(which was cold,not even warm)for $11! Cheese and tomato sandwich for almost $8 !! A short trip on the little,uncomfortable train for 4 will set you back $14!The sky train was closed for maintenance,on a saturday!!!!The enclosures and the animals were good and the zoo is in a lovely location.The rest of it is a rip off,such a shame.

Taking the ferry to the zoo was a great way to start the day. Very easy access from the main harbour in Sydney. We'd suggest going in the morning as you'll need plenty of time to wander the beautiful setting, take in some of the shows they have available in the day, and to minimize the effect of the heat (although there are shady areas to enjoy). Sunscreen & hats are a must!The bird 'show' was very interesting/informative/incredible. The 'talk' provided on the elephants was excellent - very informative. Staff were helpful, attentive and very knowledgeable. Very expansive, beautiful setting …. although a couple of the enclosures seemed small for the comfort of the animals. For example, the enclosure for the giraffes was quite small compared to the enclosure provided for giraffes within the Auckland zoo.

We were travelling with a group of friends, many older that myself and we found the zoo itself hard to navigate because of all the hilly terrain. The staff and volunteers are awesome,

I enjoyed taking the ferry to the zoo. It was a hot day but I was still able to see all the animals including an encounter with a koala bear. At times I was in awe of the view of Sydney. I highly recommend several hours to enjoy it!

PROS:The location is incredible.The bird show was amazing.The admission price was decent, for a student anyway - $35, including ferry from the city.CONS:The enclosures were VERY cramped:The giraffes had a tiny tiny pen shared between four.The gorillas were stressed, with the male banging on the glass while about fifty people crowded around his tiny room taking photos of his female and baby.The chimps were also clearly stressed - there was a huge plaything for them which was nice, but absolutely no foliage! There was a huge chimp fight that lasted about ten minutes while I was there. It can't be coincidence that there was a chimp fight AND an angry gorilla on the same day. My guess is that its a common occurrence.Most of the pens were empty, with signs saying the animals were resting. No platypus, emus, Tasmanian devils, and many more.The big cat area was closed. The food was overpriced.The place had a run-down feel to it in general. Tacky, grey, and outdated. I don't remember it being anything like that when I last came years ago.3 stars based on the location, variety of animals, and great bird show.

An out-of-town visitor and I just did the Wild Ropes course. It hasn't been heavily publicised, but it is a new attraction that can be combined with a Zoo visit, or done on its own. It was quite a challenge and tons of fun -- and a great value. (Tip: Your safety harness means you can't fall to the ground, so try as many daredevil moves as you can. If you pull one off, you'll be a legend in your own mind forever after.) There's not a teenager in Sydney who shouldn't be clamouring to do this. Think of it as an adrenalin-charged version of the Bridge Climb.

Taronga Zoo is a wonderful place to visit & a pleasant way to spend a day out of Sydney. The day begins with a ferry across the harbour to the zoo with fabulous views of Sydney & the Opera House. On arrival - if you've got a ticket - there's the exciting cable car to the zoo itself. Let me start by saying if you're going mid summer, remember it's going to be a long day, so bring that hat! During our visit the zoo had a live animatronics dinasour expo going on with some excellent realisations of many now extinct dinasour species along with a live talk on the life of T-Rex, accompanied by Rex himself! You've got the obligatory big cats, elephants & crocs & of course the local kangaroos & Kualas. After lunch in any one of the many food outlets at the zoo one can go on to visit the Savannah grassland animals & then maybe a trip to the reptile house for the not too squeamish. Rather than going thru' each attraction individually, let me say that when in Sydney, a day not spent at Taronga Zoo is a day wasted. A must do while in Sydney.
