Want to get away from everything? Want to just sit and watch the Ocean without anyone disturbing you? Don't want to hear other peoples loud conversations? Don't want sand being flicked up as people walk past you? There's still a place and it's called Seven Mile Beach. It's clean, lots of parking areas along the different entrances and quiet. All the locals ask, is that you take your rubbish with you and leave it as you found the place. Now look it up folks and enjoy!

Absolutely a beautiful beach. Long, clean and amazing. Water was warm when we where there, easy access, service station, local small takeaway shop.

Seven Mile Beach as the name says ...is a beautiful expanse of white sand. Great for long walks at Sunset or Sunrise....Sunrise is usually better when there is not much wind. The beach is dog friendly and very safe for swimming. Lots of shells too, if these interest you.The western end of the beach leads to a fabulous walk up the steps and around the headland. This provides amazing views over the ocean.Tip: Get there early in the morning before it gets windy if you want to catch a few rays

Seven Mile Beach, just beyond the airport is a wonderful place to find space, peace and fresh air. For those with a hound or two this is the place to be - our dogs love nothing more than to run free in and out of the gentle waves, chasing pine cones and sticks. When the occasional plane takes of out over the beach, our dogs have learnt they can chase them away - it works every time. And they get heaps of exercise without us having to do the running too! Not much in the way of cafes or eateries around here. It is a simply a beautiful beach.

The beach is nice and quiet, but beautiful. Great spot for a sunset, white sand, and paddling. It's a very short walk from Wyndham resort (just across the road).

A lovely sandy beach for a leisurely stroll - views across the water to Lewisham and Dodges Ferry - about 20 minutes from Hobart City and close to the airport - well worth a visit.

Cleanest showers and toilets in our travels - even providing bath mats in the showers. Very large and well equipped camp kitchen. Beautiful beach a short walk away. Very obliging and hospitable hosts in Rob and Jo. Easy access to airport and Hobart.

7 mile resort is not worth the money or time spent there. There are no shops, staff are not very helpful. The beaches are beautiful, however, dogs roam everywhere without any supervision

Seven Mile Beach is more of a Local Beach that lies next to the Airport so it is quite common to see Aircraft landing on a regular basis. This is defiantly not a place to go if you are into surfing as the current generally remains flat but is still a nice beach all the same.

Beautiful beach walk.Very beach and flat surf. There are lots of areas you can turn off and park your car. The beach can sometimes be over a flight path - depending on wind direction planes can either be coming into land (very low) or taking off. Some parts of the beach are patrolled.

Dog friendly beach 20 minutes from Hobart, close to airport. Not really a surfing beach and no lifeguards but a safe beach anyway as pretty calm.

Great place to base for day trips to Hobart and surrounds plus Port Arthur. Well priced. Very friendly and clean with good facilities.

This beach was a great discovery on our last evening. We stayed at the Travelodge Hotel and it's easy access from there. Great way to say goodbye to Tassie.

Have stayed here many times n each time it gets better n better. Central to most things depending what's on your agenda. Being close to the airport, you hardly would know..Restaurant pricey n not really value for money..Take $10 off Menu prices & you'll be busy every night..or change Menu to suit Families..Other than that it's pretty darn good..

This is a lovely beach, close to the city and not too crowded. I have usually enjoyed taking my dog there for a nice stroll and a bit of fetch. Unfortunately I was abused to the point of tears by some horse riders on my last trip. My dog had just done his business and as I was bending down to clean it up I turned around to see two very large horses racing towards me at an enormous speed. I could not hear them until they were very close. We managed to get out of the way, quite startled, and as they went past I was called every name under the sun, including the 'C' word. This is a family beach, with lots of kids and dogs around. What if this were a toddler? What if they didn't get out of the way? I have always found everyone on the beach to be lovely, and enjoyed watching the horses go past, but I just couldn't believe the behaviour of these people. surely they have some obligation to watch what is going on ahead of them also. I know I was distracted but is this an excuse??
