I have walked many times from Bellerive village to Lindisfarne with must be around the 15 kilometre mark in length. It is a very peasant walk alongside the river bank. Once the bridge is reached there are many resting places to stretch ones legs. Bellerive Village is a very picturesque little village overlooking mountain ranges and waterways.Always a pleasure to do the walk.
Bellerive is a lovely little sea side village that has good water views of Hobart City and Mt Wellington. Quite a few old buildings to look at while you wander around the shops and cafes.
A nice peaceful township on the waterfront. Is situated across the river from Hobart where it has great views of the city and Mt Wellington. There are also many nice cafés and shops to buy a coffee from when walking past. A friendly atmosphere.
Spent a month here in a rented apartment and we got to love the place. Within 5 minutes walk we could be on the long sandy beaches, or in the town centre and marina. Shops were very handily placed near by and a 10 minute walk in Eastlands shopping centre for a big variety of stores.Really convenient bus services to get into Hobart, or even spend 45 minutes to have a very pleasant walk over the Tasman bridge.
The whole Township is lovely, friendly people and great food. A good stop over just off the highway on the way to hobart. Stop by at cripp's bakehouse for some amazing hot food, traditional bakery and pastries.
Historic Bellerive Quay waterfront Quaint 10 Min Ferry Ride to Hobart . Choice of quality restaurants and take away .Beautiful beach walkways and bike tracks.
This is a very scenic area, no matter where you go there is another photo to snap up, closed to the city (10mim drive) but far enough away to be out of the city hazzle and bassle. The waters edge with great mountain views everywhere.
Great village just a bridge away from Hobart city life. Have a peaceful vacation while staying next to city. Must try Fish&Chips at the pier.
It was a great spot which we visited a number of times for the range of good eating places, the walk around the foreshore, and the views.
Everything there you could ask for interesting eating places large choice of food and variety of prices something for everyone. delightful area well worth a visit.
You have to grow it or make it to sell it here. A bit more expensive than some markets but great fresh food.
Bellerive is a sleepy suburb with a wharf from where you can get a ferry to Hobart waterfront, a yacht club and wonderful views of The Mountain ie Mt Wellington. It also has a good, inexpensive Thai restaurant called Lime and Lemongrass - which is ideal for a simple meal out.
The one thing we always do when down from Melbourne is visit Cripps chips with lots of their secret salt! Overlooking the beach back to Hobart looking towards the mountain is so relaxing and worth the trip!
Visit one of the restaurants along the waterfront or take a picnic lunch and just sit and watch the world go by. The Bellerive Yacht Club conducts weekly races during twilight. If you are into yachting or just like being around the waterfront, Bellerive is a great place to visit
Went to the Seafarer's Festival, entertainment all day with great variety of food stalls. Great place to take the kids.
