myponga reservoir lookout

High up in the brown hills with a view of the sea this is quite a large dam and quite pretty. It is a little off the track but well worth a visit

Was driven here by my friend, a local. The view are wonderful and in my opinion, no camera can capture it's beauty. On our way back, we actually saw kangaroos and joeys lazing in the sun.

We made a fist time visit to this reservoir, as it had been recommended by friends.The views from the lookout are really wonderful, overlook the dam wall and long stretch of the reservoir. As it was a nice day, we thought we would take a picnic. On arrival, once we had assimilated the views, decided to get out our picnic, how disappointed, the picnic area’s in Australia are renowned for their facilities and cleanliness. This area was dirty and rundown and not suitable for sitting. There is a toilet block, but by looking at the entrance, has been closed for some considerable time. What a shame, a lovely location spoilt by poor services.
