Not sure how we had missed Murray Street before. I had chanced on MSV Shiraz and thought we should visit cellar door next time in the Barossa. In addition to a wonderful journey through the range, we settled for a cheese platter; simply the best platter we have had. The plate was ample, tasty and local (Angaston's Barossa Valley Cheese Co). The bread baked on site and more if required. The setting is magnificent on the verandah, under the grapes overlooking the vineyard. This is worth a repeat visit everytime we are in the Barossa. The staff engaging and fun. Don't miss.

We had a booking and were running 30 minutes late but it did not phase the staff. They put us in the huge barrel room which was great not only that we had it to ourselves but also that they made a big fuss over us. Nothing was too difficult. We tasted all the wine and purchased some before departing. Well worth a visit.

Stopped there for lunch and winetasting. There are tables in- and outside in a nice garden environment. Tasting and friendly explanations take place while you sit in a relaxed atmosphere. Lunch, which is a cold plate with local products and cheese variations, for a fair price. An oasis in the mostly too busy wineries around. Highly recommended.

The cellar door is in a beautiful setting and the staff are very attentive, coming out to you and talking you through all of the wines. The red wine is excellent and the white nice (my preference is red). The option of purchasing a tasting platter to share is great, an opportunity to sample (mostly) local produce while relaxing with the tasting helps bring the experience together. To top it off, there were free activity packs for the kids and the option of purchasing single serve ice cream to keep them entertained. A lovely experience and a must visit.

We had never heard of this winery, but a local recommended it and we visited here. It was truly our best ever tasting experience amid very strong competition. The winery itself is very picturesque and the tasting lounge and deck overlook the lush surroundings of grapevines. All the staff were very friendly and our hostess Elle was very knowledgeable and welcoming. The tasting experience involves being seated on a lounge in a beautiful bar area, with stunning views over the vineyard. You feel very relaxed and treated with such wonderful hospitality. The 2014 award is well deserved!

I like this winery! Nice big bold reds are the main reason but it's also an attractive vineyard and cute cellar door area for tasting.

We stopped off here to kill time actually - the previous cellar door we went to recommended it as they were closing up for the day. Really glad we did. The attendants were very generous with their time and gave us a delicious selection of cheese to tide us over until dinner. We had a glass of one of their shiraz's and it was top-knotch.

Well, during my organising for a charity fundraiser I ventured across this jewel in the crown that is the Barossa. Marty, Elle and Katie at this winery agreed to stage a charity fundraiser for men's health for me (Movember). But what eventuated was the chance for me to engage with a vibrant management team at an amazing boutique winery. Rustic Platters served amongst splendid gardens and surrounds, with views across the valley and up to the charming winery itself. This winery produces SA's best wines including these two beautiful red's, the 2010 MSV Benno Shiraz Mataro and the 2010 MSV Sophia Shiraz. The winery treats its tasting's seriously, but staff engage you without any presumption. Recently crowned SA's #1 Winery they seem keen to have you try their magnificent wines in the most beautiful and relaxed well kept secret. Do what we do, come out for a tasting, experience the monthly run artisan's market's and share a platter of the barossa's finest foods in hand crafted bread, cheese and vine ripened fruit.

The staff were outstanding and very knowledgeable. We did a great tasting on the deck overlooking the vineyard the wine was great and served in beautiful glasses by a friendly friendly staff member.

We've spent eight days both in Barossa and McLaren Vale. And we did lots of tastings. In this review you will read my opinion about the wines. But since wine is very much about personal taste, it doesn't necessarily mean that you will share my opinion. You might hate the wine I liked and vice versa. So much about that, here we go:We were running a bit late on that day and many places were closing soon. So we went to MSV, close to our rented cottage. I've read positive reviews and they're open until 6pm.So, they do the wine tastings a bit different here. Tours get an extra room, but since we came individually, we were seated in the much nicer room with couches and tables. Very very comfy. The tasting is being served here...you don't need to to anything except to drink their beautiful wine.We did start with some Whites: the Semillon and the Viognier. The Semillon was really light...too light for us. The Viognier was a solid wine, but not overly impressive. We're hard to please when it comes to White Wines. But we came for the Reds....and they were impressive here: The Shiraz from the Red Label and the Black Shiraz were very nice, full-bodied and long-lasting on the tongue. And for 25$/35$ really fair priced. We bought both of them. The staff here was very friendly and really helpful. Since we liked their wine so much, we ask them for some recommendations (for similar wine in the Valley). They were happy to help and pointed out some very nice wineries for us.It's a great place, nice setting and location. Calm, quiet ... peaceful! A great vineyard, yet still a bit of a secret among all the big names in the Valley. Highly recommended!Wanna know more about me and my trips? Check my profile!

It's Spring and we are being spoilt with a sample of fantastic reds - finishing off with a MSV fortified Shiraz. Staff were very helpful and most welcoming (not necessarily the case in the Barossa). Enjoyed a Little Barossa savour tasting plate to compliment the wines - try this setup in Greenock and compare service and welcoming. By the way the wines are pretty good as well. it's the welcoming and home feel in this setup that makes the difference.

Thoroughly enjoyed our stop off at this vineyard. Somewhere to kick back for an hour enjoy a glass of wine sample some of local food including cheese, fruit bread and pate. Very nice wine, no pomp in their service, excellent views. All in all highly recommended.

Must be hard to find something better to do than sitting on the deck at Murray Street and looking over the vineyards on a perfect Autumn afternoon. The friendly and informative staff served us tasters of their fantastic wines while we enjoyed our delicious platter. Feels more like visiting some friends at their place than tasting wines at a cellar door.

We had the pleasure of visiting the Murray St Vineyard as part of the Taste of the Barossa tour. This winery was the last of four that we visited that day but it was so nice and the people so helpful that it really stood out in our day as one of the highlights. The wines were exceptional and we arranged for some to be sent home to our residence in Qld. The vineyard is beautiful as are the buildings and grounds. Well worth the stop off.
