I stayed here for a night on the way to Ayers Rock, and it was great. Greeted by a wild Emu walking through the campsite. You are allowed fires, they have shower and toilet facilities, and best thing its FREE! This is one of the darkest places I stayed on my drive up the Stuart Highway. The nights sky was amazing!My only problem is I left a pair of sandals there and were gone when I drove past again the next day!

We visited this on the way back from Kings Canyon. It's ok - but not as spectacular or engaging as some of the other walks we've done. Lovely, and well worth seeing if you 've time.

This Station is 85km from Ayers Rock and is a great place to base yourself on the way to Ayers Rock. They have a bar, small restaurant, powered sites and free camping area with toilet and showers available. At half the cost of camping at Ayers rock (and having the free camp sites) it is great to stop off and stay a night.
