This is a beautiful park. There is way more to see than we were able to get to in the half-day that we spent there, but left quite satisfied. The information center is good but make sure to take the interpretative walk around the center and then drive down to the lookout. The old fishing village takes you back over 100 years, giving you a good idea of what it was like to live in Gaspe back then. It also makes you wonder what kind of person did that! There is beautiful marsh area and don't miss the waterfall. The whole Gaspe area is amazing to see and this part is a must-do part of the experience.

Follow my advices:sleep at Cap des Rosieres.Park the car at Cap Bon Ami early in the morning (9-10 A.M. it is Ok ).From there hike the tour of Mont Sant Alban and then directly to Cap-Gaspe.There are 15 Km one way , not a lot I made the tour with my wife and my son (11 years old).We arrived there at 16.00 P.M.One hour and back.Coming back you have to turn right to cut the path and reach the parking place without making again the tour of the Mont Sant Alban as soon as you reach Grande Grave.Second day:be carefull the direction of the park organise guided tour or making other paths (I did not because it was rainy).Visit Fort Peninsule and the gunning machine over there.Other choise It is to drive towards the Cap-Gaspè (you have to leave the car before getting the Cap) and stay there the whole afternoon. We saw the bear near the toilette. One woman stayed inside!.Very funny.

Forillon preserves the natural beauty and history of this area. It is an undiscovered jewel that many North Americans have yet to discover. The hiking trails are well marked. The story of the government's expropriation is well documented in an honest fashion with a monument to all the families that were affected! Caped Rosier' lighthouse and local history is singular. The roadways are excellent. one does have to watch for wildlife especially after dark. Too bad so much of the Park has to close early in the season.

Located on the tip of the Gaspe peninsula of Quebec and covers 94 square miles. There was a famous episode of the WWI took place in the National Park.....have to visit to learn the story.

Hiking is plentiful with all levels of difficulty. Beautiful views, Wildlife is plentiful. Park rangers share interesting stories and give informative lectures... especially enjoyed the beaver talk.

I can't say enough about this attraction. Cap Bon Ami was one of the the prettiest settings I've ever seen. At the southern access to the park the 4 km walk to Land's End and the lighthouse at the easternmost point in the park was really a special trek. We saw a couple of whales, many seals, diving gannets, and many small pocket coves with cobble beaches along the way. There were some steep hills along the road/trail but nothing major. A few young couples pushed baby strollers to the end of the trail without any great problems. At the end of the road was the lighthouse area. A beautiful spot where whales cavort during the mid summer and the scenery is great. From the lighthouse a trail leads down a steep hill to a platform just above the rocky shore. This is called Land's End and it feels like it. Well worth the hike down the trail (which only takes about 10 minutes). This National Park was the whole point for our 30-day trip to Quebec, New Brunswick, and Maine. It was worth it!!

Hiked in the park. The views were stunning, breathtaking and awesome. Got lots of pictures. Saw lots of seals and 2 whales. It was a sunny fall day. A great way to spend a day.

While driving on the road from the North Side Entrance to Cap Bon-Ami, we encountered a wandering moose, a highlight of our exploration of this wonderful park. From Cap Bon-Ami, the view to Cap Gaspe is simply gorgeous. Another must-do trail takes you to the very end of Cap Gaspe where we saw whales not too far from the shore.

Like I said in the post title, the water fall (or la chute) is nice, not as high as some, but it is nice and dynamic and should be experienced. The quality of the foot path is nice and the loop, along with the view balcony, was really enjoyable.

I was visiting Forillon National Park with friend and stayed on campground at oTENTik. It is wonderful park and amazing place for nature and wildlife lovers. oTENTik is very comfortable way to spend some time in Park. It has everything needed- electricity, propan bbq, water is 10 metres away, beds, cooking and eating accessories, washrooms and showers very close. When we arrive to our cabin first we saw - black bear cub. Besides bears we saw rabbits, snakes. Chipmunks were everywhere. They made a lot of noise when bears were coming, some sort of bear alarm lol. Staying there was amazing- you can hear forest life and at the same time waves at the sea.

We were a party of 7 (two families) We camped at Petit-Gaspe (sites 30 and 32). The sites are nicely wooded and private. Access to water was close by and the washroom/shower facilities were just up a nearby trail. In this same facility, they had a great common room that was perfect for gathering to play cards, washing dishes (and to charge-up our gadgets). The nearby Petit-Gaspe beach is all smooth rounded rocks, so sandals are a must, but you will be awe of the color variety. The kids spent hours looking for that perfect skipping stone or ocean glass. The hiking trails are definitely intermediate...so bring water and snacks! We did the Mt. St Alban loop with a detour to Cap Bon Ami. Half of the hike is a steady climb up, but oh so worth it! The overlook tower at the top of the mountain is breathtaking and our hike down to Cap Bon Ami was a refreshing break for our tired feet before we had to hike back and over to return to camp. Petit-Gaspe Campsite also offers a recreation facility with a great outdoor pool (for an additional fee) games room and snack bar (the food is expensive and unfortunately not the best, but at least it's available in a pinch).

Forillon happens to be one of the nicest camping park in eastern Canada in the Gaspesia area and it is a charming and relaxing place to visit. When at the Forillon park we took a site for 4 days and the view we had was an immense mountain right in front of us. Listenning to the numerous birds singing their melodies for us every morning was a real resting awakening. Simple with a fair amount of sevices available we had a great time there. One who likes to travel and camp should definitely do this one.

A great variety of trails, well maintained park. Good museum with informative displays and large video room. We were lucky to see the petit puffins. The waterfall trail is easy to walk to and drier than other trails on a rainy day.

I visited all there was to visit without having to walk more than 1 km each time and it was fantastic. Especially Penouille, Fort Péninsule and Cap Bon-Ami ! Breath-taking scenery, incredible history, clean and spacious camping sites, opportunities to watch wildlife and all that at a reasonable price. If you have good feet and heart, climbing hikes are also offered to you. I went at mid-August and the weather was so nice and hot that I even swam at Penouille ! Also possible to arrange for whale-watching excursions (seeing whales never guaranteed though), to rent sea kayaks or to go diving. If you want a decent meal, I recommend 2 places nearby: Le Baleinier at Cap-aux-Os (basic food but well prepared - had wonderful French bread for breakfast and great lobster club sandwich for lunch) and Le Café de l'Anse at l'Anse-au-Griffon (had great smoked fish and cod cakes). And not to be neglected: everyone is nice and will answer to you in English, even if approximate.

Breath taking scenery. Hardly anyone around. Campsite is comfy and spacious. Unique bird habitats. Lots of hiking opportunities. Great areas to relax and watch the seaside. Campsite is near the beach and the town of Gaspe is close by.
