We really wanted the experience of white water rafting and this was the only company still offering trips in early October! Robert and his wife were very friendly; taking us on a trip we'd never forget. Would 10/10 recommend to friends and others!

We came to Clearwater in mid/September 2014 and booked the rafting for two days later without any problems. Riverside Adventures was the only company which was still offering rafting trips during that time!! We were a group of twelve People from different countries and were equipped with anything what one could think of to have a safe, warm and happy trip. We could borrow shoes and warm jackets and we bought one waterproof camera with 27 pictures. Excellent preparation!! The raft itself was so much fun especially because Robert built a team of our group from the very first moment. Down the river he introduced us to many natural attractions and we had the possibility to swim in the river, which was so much fun (class 1 and 2). Further down the river we had the opportunity to jump from a high rock which also was a great experience. Further down we had another spot to jump from an even higher bridge. Eventually we saw lots of sockeye salmon going up the river which was a wonderful experience.All in all Riverside Adventures offered so much more than just rafting. The raft was fantastic and combined with the introduction how to control the boat, the nature experience, the different jumps, swimming in the river and seeing the salmon was one of the best events of our whole Canada trip. We will go there again when we come back to Canada.Thank you Robert for a great trip and a safe time during the raft. Cheers!

Great rafting experience. Since I was traveling alone and in September, most rafting companies had no bookings yet and it would depend on other resevations if the trip would go ahead. Not with Riverside! I got an option for the next day for one (if no others joined), or could join the same day with 3 others. I did the latter and it was much fun! Got to jump off a cliff in the ice cold water as well.

I rafted different whitewater rivers in eastern and western Canada, however Robert's team is absolutely the best. Excellent service with very clear instructions and superb customer service.Despite our late arrival in Clearwater, Riverside Adventures Rafting and Fitness Centre was the only company that was willing to accomadate us. Had a fantastic day on the Clearwater River with Riverside Adventures on Monday! Long overdue trip with Robert and Liana - what a fantastic day! Awesome to be on the river again - especially with Emma and Maria at only 7&9!!! Totally safe, yet super fun for kids! They loved it We will definitely be making this a repeat trip!

We have recently returned from our holiday in Canada and one of the highlights of the trip must be the White Water Rafting with Riverside Adventures. The team were fantastic. I had enquired before we left the UK if the experience would be suitable for our 4 year old twins and was advised that if they had a sense of adventure and didn't mind getting splashed there shouldn't be a problem and that if they did have a sense of adventure the other option of a scenic float trip would probably have been too tame for them! On this advice we opted for the White water rafting. The kids loved it and are still talking about it 2 weeks later and asking when they can do it again! Robert and his daughter were great with the kids and ensured their safety at all times. The rafting was fantastic for the adults as well and I especially liked the section where we were allowed to float down the river out of the raft on our backs. Can't fault the experience, brilliant, recommend to anyone.

We took our family (10, 7, 5 yrs) on a weekend trip to Wells Gray. The tourist info centre recommended a white water rafting trip down the Thompson River with Riverside Adventures. What an amazing highlight of our summer! Rob has 20+ years experience as a rafting guide (and heli-skier) and immediately put all our anxieties to rest. With small children we were concerned about safety, speed, etc. but it soon became obvious we had nothing to fear....Rob and his team are well-experienced, confident, informative, and fun. My kids are telling everyone about their white water rafting trip and mommy's brave 30 ft dive. Yes parents....kids get to cliff dive and parents do to! It is AWESOME! Highly recommend Riverside Adventures if you visit Clearwater BC!

We were a little weary going on our first white water rafting experience, but the people at the family-run Riverside Adventures Rafting made us and our son (12) and daughter (15) immediately feel at ease. While clearly looking out for our safety, the raft guides (Robert and his daughter Elize) never lost their sense of adventure and made our experience one we'll never forget, encouraging, but never pushing, the participants to try everything from swimming in the river, leaning over the front of the raft, to even jump off a bridge. We immediately felt more like a bunch of friends having a blast, than customers on a carefully crafted outing. Thanks Robert, and when we'll be back, I hope it will be earlier in the season when the beautiful and capricious Clearwater River is higher and wilder yet!

This is the most excellent adventure that you can find in Wells Gray Park. My family and friends went on this white water adventure on the August long weekend. We had a fabulous time and will be heading back again next year! Everyone had a great time, young and old alike! I would highly recommend Riverside Adventures Rafting to anyone looking for a great time. It's very safe, scenic and a ton of fun! A great way to spend a hot and sunny day!

Had a blast! great experience for the first time ever river rafting. Robert was a great guide, and loved the dog Louie, my family enjoyed the trip and it was well worth it! They were fun and made us feel safe and relaxed. would go back and do it again!

As a family of 4- we stayed in Robert and Liana's apartment which was in a lovely location next to the river. It was clean and very comfortable. We also did the white water rafting river trip. All of us enjoyed it. The kids had a ball! Special thanks to the Beaudry's for their hospitality and warm welcome.

My Son and I went on the Clearwater River with Riverside Adventures this past weekend and we had a blast. They made us feel comfortable right from the start and the rafting was great. The guide was great with the kids on our raft and we will come back for sure. If you have time make sure they take you on the hike into the waterfall, a must for everyone rafting the Clearwater river. Water levels were medium in August but would love to come back when the water levels are higher in June. Thanks for the great trip!

Come prepared with water shoes or running shoes you don't mind wearing in the water. You can wear sandals as long as they have good straps and have no chance of falling off. There are some used shoes there if you need. Sunglasses must be worn with a strap (you can purchase one there if you want). Buy a waterproof camera at Walmart (I paid less than $15) to bring. You can purchase the same one there for $30. They will make you a disk of your photos there if you like (I believe with the purchase of the camera from them). You go to an area where you pick a helmet and are given a wetsuit. There are change rooms here and washrooms where you pay. They give you a numbered bin to put your belongings in (clothes, keys, etc.) and then they lock them up for you. They will put you in groups and show you the route on a map. Then, you get into a van and drive to Clearwater River which is in Wells Gray Provincial Park. You then get out and help carry the raft down a hill to the spot. They will give you a demonstration on how to paddle, etc. Then you head down to the water where you get a little wet before you get in - to prepare you for the water temperature. We had a great guide, "Riel" and 7 other paddlers. He was knowledgeable about the area and answered any questions we had. The biggest rapids were off the top and were fun. You can sit in the middle and not paddle if you like. My son ended up leaning over the front of the raft called "Super Screamer" and going head first into the rapids (he is 12). He really enjoyed this spot. We took a detour walk up to some falls. It is a steep climb and you need to be watching your footing a lot. Once at the falls, you can jump into them a few times. Very cold! It was a very nice spot. Then, we headed back to the raft. After a bit, we were able to jump in and let the current take you down the river (while locking arms). There are areas when it is calm and you can take some photos. At one point we played a game where one person stands on the front of the raft while the others spin the raft to try and knock you off. It was a fantastic experience and I would recommend this company to anyone. Keep in mind that it is a bit physically demanding with carrying the raft and the climb to the falls. It was a 3hr trip, well organized with friendly staff and well worth the money.

Very secure for all family members with activities for all. We loved the swim in the rapides, the walk to the falls and the 10 meters jumps which is a good option for teenagers. Do not miss this family time !

This is a top organisation that takes care of childeren. We were in a group of 12 and the youngest was 9 years. Robert took us out on a terrific white water trip.
