Wow! I can't speak highly enough of the 1.5 hour dog sled tour. This has been my favourite activity at Sun Peaks by far. You are greeted by one of the friendly and knowledgable staff and they bring puppies! Then they tell you a little bit about the dogs before getting them ready to two the sled. They are so powerful and well looked after. The sledding is such a blast, heading through narrow paths surrounded by tall trees. Just what you imagine back country Canada to look like. You stop at a lake which is only about 5kms from Sun Peaks and it is so peaceful! Once you arrive back, you get to play with the adorable puppies. If you're a nature or dog lover, then you just do this tour. Ours was at 11 and it was perfect timing. If you get a snow day, and it's clear blue skies, jump at the chance - it won't get any more beautiful!Oh and they also have a go pro mount on the sled which is perfectly places for great footage. Highly highly recommend this company and tour.

Dog sledding in Canada has been a bucket list item for some time now and it was great to have the opportunity to cross this one off the list recently. After a short 20 minute walk out of Sun Peaks village, we were met by Chris and two of his pups and taken to meet our sled dogs. After a small introduction our dogs, Sneaky, Sparkey, Gypsy, Sleeman, Honey, Dusty and Norman (who were all super keen to get going) were hitched up and we were off. The trail wound its way through a forest track and then out to the shore of Little Lake McGillivray where we stopped to stretch our legs and give the dogs a rest before returning back. When we returned it was time to meet the pups, who are too cute for words. It was a great experience that I'd happily repeat if I returned to Sun Peaks.

We took our two kids 9 & 11 and had an amazing time. They absolutely want to do it again. They both got to drive, with help from our guide, which they loved. The dogs go faster than I expected, so it was quite an exhilarating and beautiful ride! Highly recommend it.

We had a great time on the dog sledding trip. Met the dogs first and then went on trip through the snowy woods which was magical.Afterwards we got to meet the puppies too which were pretty cute and I'm not really a dog person. If you're in Sun Peaks definitely look this trip up, it's well worth it!

My teenage daughter and I did this in December 2013, and loved it so much that when we returned to Sun Peaks for December 2014, we did the dog sleds again (this time accompanied by hubby).The scenery is breathtaking, the dogs are keen to run (they are clearly well looked after and eager to get going), and the whole experience is just amazing!This December we even got to meet some of the young pups, who are too adorable for words.Overall the tour is very well run and a great experience - highly recommended!!!

Meeting the dogs before going out was wonderful. They are both friendly and eager. "Mushing" was a breeze because the dogs know what they're supposed to do better than you do.

You haven't experienced all the fun on offer at Sun Peaks until you have a ride in a sled with Chris and his dogs. Chris presents his dogs pretty much as his family, the love he has for them is quite apparent and really lovely to witness. Introducing you to your team starts off the experience. He and his guides are happy to make this as informative as you want it. The best part is the dogs enjoy hooning down the trails as much if not more than us. You can also drive with Chris which is a total hoot. The dogs love a pat of thanks at the end of your ride and a bowl of chicken soup for their efforts. I could not of expected such a great experience. Good on you Chris and team, I'll be back for sure.

So much fun! Loved the dogs, loved the staff, really loved the puppies, loved the scenery...it was all awesome. We were lucky to have a beautiful day, too. I would highly recommend this adventure to anyone.

This is a must do experience ! Highlight of my trip to Sunpeaks! Surreal scenery and the dog were amazing! I will remember this experience for the rest of my life! Highly recommend for all ages

What a great experience we had the best adventure with just the right amount of everything the dogs are amazing what and operation Chris runs. Don't miss it.

You have to try this if you are at Sun Peaks. The dogs are very well socialized, full of character and clearly love the work. Joel was friendly and informative and Chris clearly treats the dogs very well. Oh, and of course its a once in a lifetime experience in a winter wonderland setting. Everyone's ratings say it all - you won't regret it!

My boyfriend and I were lucky enough to go dog sledding during our stay at Sun Peaks. We got to meet Chris, the owner of the dog and he introduced us to all of them. The sled ride was amazing and the highlight was getting to steer the dogs around a lake (although the dogs knew exactly what they were doing so I think they were steering me more!) And the day ended with playing with some of the 6 week old puppies that would eventually be trained to pull the sled as well. All in all, it was a wonderful experience and I would definitely recommend it to anyone as Chris truly cares about his dogs and it is great to see how excited they all get when they go for a "run".

This is a must if you're in Sun Peaks. We had a blast with Chris - our guide, and the team of dogs. The team takes you on breathtaking trail, and once you get to McGillivray lake, there is a chance to drive the sled, which is amazing! After the trip, thank the dogs and give them a treat, and then go play with the pups. Thanks Chris and everyone (and dog) at Mountain Man Dog Sled Adventures, for an unforgettable trip!

We so enjoyed the experience with the sledding and being with your dogs. The highlight was being able to 'drive' the sled and the scenery. We won't forgot that experience.
