petersfield provincial park

I have been visiting this park since i was very little. its quite clean and quite beautiful and well taken care of, the only improvement i would suggest is garbage cans.

a beautiful green space so wonderful for picnics and quiet time to relax ...spending time there taking wedding photographs was a pleasure

My wife, mother and I were visiting Sydney and decided we would like a nice walk. We were here one summer a number of years before and enjoyed the scenery. This time it was even better. The leaves were changing colours with plenty of reds, oranges and yellows. My wife's camera was clicking the whole time. We rounded the trail, taking in the scenery and snapping pictures. Definitely one of the high points of our visit.

This is a great place for an evening walk or run if you love nature. The trails are well maintained with lots of signage. It is a favorite of ours for dog walking (on leash only)

The multitude of trails and fields offer a wide variety of scenery and vistas as well as a little history of the grounds.

The park is spacious and provides an inviting panorama. There is little imaginative landscaping in the park, but it is peaceful and safe.

Go here at least once a week. Great for walking or running along the trails. Lots of open green space for laying out or playing frisbee and catch. Just a great time

I visit Petersfield Provincial Park every Canada Day. They have a very good celebration there with lots of activities for Young people and lots of good music. And always have CAKE. see you guys again this year.

Petersfield Provincial Park is a beautiful park. Walking trails are well maintained, great place to take your dog for a walk.

My daughters wedding party was photographed there , awesome setting! Walking trails there are worth the drive also!

Very nice walk for young and old. Not very strenuous. Scenic with some of Sydney's history included. Dogs allowed.

If you are looking for a nice trail walk along the harbour shore or through the woods this is a nice place for just that....

Petersfield Provincial Park has 7 km of trails for walking or running in a beautiful setting on the south arm of Sydney Harbour. It's located next door to the Canadian Coast Guard College in Westmount. The well organized Canada Day celebrations in Petersfield Park are the largest on Cape Breton Island. Another activity that takes place here, close to Halloween, is a fun 5k costumed Pumpkin Run for kids and adults alike.
