I love the produce available and the craftspeople displaying their creations. There are lots of organic vegetable producers. There is a great variety of ready to eat food.. Music rattles the rafters after 10 am each Saturday morning.
We stopped by for dinner at the Wolfville Wednesday Market. It had a nice variety of meals to choose from, considering its off season in October. My husband selected Indian dahl and samosa which he enjoyed. I went with the Privet House pad thai which, I would rate average. However, it was a very generous serving with many topping choices.I also bought a fennel salad which was delicious. For some reason, fennel (and parsnip) is crazy expensive in Hawaii so it was a treat. I also bought a panna cotta which was given to me in a covered glass jar! I expected it to be in a dish with at the very least, fresh fruit. That surprised me, but it was very smooth and delicious. There was a stand selling interesting tea blends and across from there a baker who told me his signature pastry is the lemon tart. Rightly so...it was one of the best I've tasted.
What a wonderful market. So much selection, wonderful fruit and veggies that looked so good. Delious treats from a variety of nationalities. Be sure to try the home made donuts. They are heaven .

Don't miss visiting this location while you are visiting Wolfville.
Friendly staff, anything you want or need in vegetables or fruits would be available here and more, fresh meat, fresh organics, lunch counter, specialty foods, exotic foods,, just excellent, don't miss visiting this place when you are in Wolfville.
One of the best small town markets that I've seen! Lots of fresh produce, local crafts and great food! Easy access to parking. Get there early to snap up the best goodies!
This is an often visited market visited on Wednesday evening. Lots of variety in the types of food available and we usually eat outside where it is a little quieter
The market is fantastic for fresh produce, meat, and bakery items. It can be crowded on a Saturday morning. Some customers were rude when we asked politely to move by, they were blocking the entire aisle. Definitely not wheelchair/scooter/stroller friendly because of people congregating and socializing in the middle of walkways.
This is not shopping. This is not yer average market. This is a wonderful, friendly, enlightening experience. Enjoy.
Finally took a trip to the valley on a Saturday to take in the farmers market. After we parked, the music and the breakfast aromas led us right to the front door. So many wonderful venders, selling everything from fresh vegetables and baked goods to crafts, fresh meats and cheese. Lots of room to roam and sample. Everyone was so friendly and helpful its much like the Halifax farmers market but not so crowded you cant walk down the aisle. There are tables located outside to sit and enjoy your food or just people watch. Youll want to try a little of everything, the baked goods are still warm and steamy. Its a great place to spend a Saturday morning, so glad we finally did !
We were lucky enough to be in Wolfville on a Wednesday. The Market is normally open only on Saturdays, but from May through December it also operates from 4:00-7:00 for a Community Supper event. There were numerous food vendors and everything looked so tasty that it was difficult to choose what to get. We ended up with a huge samosa and a German sausage and potato cake, but I don’t think we could have made a bad decision. There were several craft vendors in attendance, as well. You can’t beat this for a delicious, economical meal, and the lively atmosphere enhances the experience, too.
Arrived early on a chilly, rainy Saturday morning - along with countless others - to find an array of fresh baked goods, local cheeses, fresh vegetables (the reddest radishes I've ever seen), unique organic products, handcrafted items, and a wine tasting. Spent quite a bit of time meandering through the market, sampling the tasty and ethic baked goods to the homemade soaps/creams, and trying a few homeopathic remedies. Fresh and fragrant bouquets were even available - showing off the lushness of the areas. I so wish that my own home had such a market; I suspect I'd frequent it each week!
One of the highlights of every trip to Wolfville is a visit to the Saturday morning farmers market. It is a great opportunity to mix and experience the true friendliness of Nova Scotia culture. I like to just stop and chat at many booths because they are so warm and friendly. It's not what we talk about so much as how they talk with you. There is something special there. There is certainly something there to catch everyone's interest... baking, organic vegetables, wines, lots of different foods and much more. I like to make two trips around and listen to some really good music.
A great community feel with lots of selection in vendors. The best food, Indian and the noodle guy! Great music and shopped for Christmas with local wares!
I love to go to this market! Yes, it is crowded on a Saturday morning. The reason is that everything is so good!! Great place for a cheap, nutritious Wednesday night meal too! If you are in the area, nice place to have a coffee, snack & perhaps buy some one-of-a-kind jewelry!
