Upon entering the beautiful estate we were pleasantly greated. The staff throughout our experience was friendly attentive and knowledgable. We tasted the ice wine and ended up buying 2 bottles of the aged oak. It was really amazing and the best wine we had touring all day. We were told about numerous festivities throughout the year so I guess we will have to come back!

We really enjoy the Peller wines. We find for the price point they are good value- and a nice representation of Ontario wines.Staff at the tasting bar are often less than efficient. I realize they are often very busy, but frequently they are chatting with friends or not overly attentive to their clients. The wine room does have a nice variety of cool items you can purchase in addition to their wines (decanters, wine charms, glasses/etc). They do charge for samples here

We were travelling around the Icewine Festival for 3 days in a group of six. Probably would have skipped Peller because we were searching out smaller newer wineries. We were driving by their magnificent building at the end of our last day and had a couple of hours free before our dinner reservation. So we stopped in and had a look and experienced one of the most fun things of our entire trip. But first the negative: Inside it was very noisy and crowded. As others have commented, it was difficult to get near the tasting bar but I am not a particular fan of Peller wines so that was okay. My wife like some of there whites and we both enjoyed the Riesling Icewine. I guess busy is good when you are in business and it was the last day of the festival. And then the fun thing: We went out on the long patio and were immediately enveloped in wood smoke from several fire pots. The fires were for the marshmallows that have been mentioned by several reviewers. They are about four inches square, infused with ice-wine and on a long stick for roasting.[see picture] That is where the gooey, sticky comes in. My wife had a marshmallow mustache and found some in her hair later. We were all laughing, mostly at each other, and having a thoroughly enjoyable time.We found Chef Jason Parson's ice-wine marshmallow recipe on line and are planning them for a winter camping trip.

My husband and I had a few wine tasting passes given to us by our hotel and we thoroughly enjoyed our short visit to Peller Estates. We were greeted by a nice sitting area with a warm fire place which we enjoyed after being outside in the cold. Our server was Ben, and he was extremely knowledgable about the various wines and their origins. He told us about the ice wine marshmallows that we just missed at the festival in January and we are DEFINITELY going to return next year for that! The wine tasting experience was really nice. We tasted some good wines, were given some interesting facts, and the necessary space to enjoy our sips before the next tasting. It wasn't too busy on a Friday at around 5pm so try to avoid the bush weekend rush.

We went here for the ice wine festival and had the most amazing (and giant!) marshmallows. Everyone was delightfully roasting them outside and just striking up friendly conversation while trying to not get too gooey. Had they sold these I would have bought more than I should. I also liked the set up inside and out. I enjoyed the Riesling ice wine more than their Vidal. Downfall was how busy/crowded the inside was. Gave up on waiting to sample more wines in the store area.

I find that Peller seems to always be very busy and it is a bit hard to get up to the tasting bar and the people that are serving you do seem rushed because of the amount of customers that they are trying to pour for therefore I find that you don't get the most intimate experience however when the ice wine festival is on their marshmallows are fantastic

Sounds like a gooey kids treat, but boy these are far from a kids treat....still nice and gooey but well worth the visit. Peller always seems to have something on their schedule, even if it is just an informative tour, but every January they rise to the occaission with their Icewine Marshmallows. Big gooey cubes of tasty icewine infused, home made marshmallows and a couple of glowing fire pits to turn them into toasty wonders. OMG you have to try them. The recipe is also available and they are quite simple to make, but next year stop by Peller and spoil yourself.

Peller Estate winery hosted a New Year Eve 5 course dinner with wine pairings in their cellar. The evening started at 7 PM with a reception of ice wine Martinis and Canape well prepared in the onsite restaurant. Then we descended to the cellar 120 of us for a sit down dinner, 5 course with wine pairings from the winery. After dinner we went outside to roast Marshmellows and 15 minutes to midnight we all got together again to toast the new year with wine, desert and cheeses. The five course dinner was excellent and specially prepared under the supervision of the Peller Executive Chef Jason Parsons. The party ended at 1 AM.We stayed for the night at the Pillar & Post vintage hotel which is close by, had the New Year Brunch at the hotel the next day and then returned home. All in all it was a delightful experience and I would suggest , you try it. Even if you do not want to do this event, try Peller Estate lunches and dinners, they are fabulous.Invitations for the event come at at the end of November but you have to book it soon after since the venue fills up fast. Good Luck

Gorgeous winery, cozy restaurant and fabulous tasting room. My husband and I visited Peller Estates during their Fabulicious week for lunch. We went on a Monday afternoon and had Luann as our server. The foodNothing short of delicious. All of the nice added touches, such as the freshly baked bread and salted butter, are an added bonus. My husband always orders the extra lobster tail, and he highly recommends it. The serviceLuann has been the best server we have had. She is incredibly attentive, very friendly and funny! She was patient, as we didn't want to rush. We really appreciated every detail if her service and look forward to the next Fabulicious!

Gorgeous tasting room. Fireplace was going. Clean restrooms. The server wasn't very friendly nor was the cashier. Wines were good and we found some different varietals that we hadn't seen in other wineries. We just wish we caught the staff on a better day.

My daughter and I went to the chicks and chocolate seminar. It was so informative and well done. We got to experience four different wines mixed with four different types of chocolate. Juan, our instructor, was charming and I loved his accent. He was thorough, humorous and a great teacher. Afterwards, we went to the store which offers everything from wine to decanters to wine glasses. It was a very positive experience which I wouldn't hesitate to do again.

I went for a tasting tour on one of the Niagara Wine tours. Wines were decent and they had some popcorn, nut, etc pairings. On the crowded side, but our group was pulled aside. Definitely worth taking time to go visit wine country if you have the chance. They have a restaurant attached, but I'm not sure about the food though. Look around if you have the chance, I wish we would have had more time to do that!

We visited Peller after enjoying their wines at the tasting room in downtown NOTL. The grounds are absolutely lovely, as is the tasting room. We also found that the cab franc ice wine was delicious. This was marred, however, by the very cranky woman who was helping us during our tasting this morning. Something must have ruined her day - she was unfriendly, humorless and a sharp contrast to all the friendly people in NOTL. We hurried up and rounded up our purchases so that she didn't ruin the mood. But for the dark spot, I'm guessing one might have a lovely time.
