Long gone are the zoo animals that once brought many to the park. But there is still lots for a family to enjoy. Along the waterpark you can wade into the water or fish. The green houses are seasonal and worth the visit. There is a bandstand where events happen often at night. Small but varied concession booth for ice cream or coffee. Many walking paths and it ties into the Hub Trail. Dog friendly if kept on leash but PLEASE scoop that poop.

What a place, just a beautiful park. Go there at least twice a week. The grounds are so well kept. Each and every flower bed is just gorgeous and so pretty. Love going into the greenhouse and just taking pictures of all the different flowers, plants and the array of beautiful settings. The park is great for a whole day family day to a few hours of walking and taking pictures. Would recommend to bring a book, blanket and find a tree and spent the afternoon in the park.

This park has everything from children's attractions to historic facts and displays that will interest people from all ages. Don't miss the greenhouse that contains not only local plant and flower varieties, but also many exotic plants - extremely colorful. a paradise for the nature photographer.

Family always likes to make a stop here. Kids can climb on equipment. Tables for eating. Right down by the river. Great place to watch the boats

Beautiful park in downtown Sault Ste Marie that is well maintained. The kids love all the play equipment while the adults relaxed on benches. Washrooms open to the public, a canteen in case hunger strikes and some beautiful views on the waterfront.

A lovely pastoral setting nestled close to the river. Nicely and unobtrusively divided into a garden like area, a kid friendly play area, a waterfront area and a more serene quiet area. This is a well maintained park BUT watch out for the "goose souvenirs" displayed with reckless abandon - mainly near the water areas. In the "old days" there was a zoo here but that is now gone. Many people come her to get their wedding photos taken in a garden area. I have attended two weddings here as well. This is a multi purpose park and sometimes it is hard to imagine that you are in the middle of town.Plenty of parking. This was once the estate of Colonel Prince (Prince Township) and may be of some interest to those from Essex county as he played a part in their history as well. Read the historical plaques. Apparently he may be buried on the grounds.

The park is well kept and the grounds are nicely looked after. It's a lovely place to just sit and enjoy the scenery and the warm weather. Makes you feel at peace

If you ever want to take the kids out to burn some energy, this is a great place. Nice play structures and lots of open space...just watch out for goose poop.

It has enough playground equipment for younger children, and a few accessible items, but not much for older children. I found the cleanliness mediocre both outside on the playground and in the washrooms.

Huge playgrounds here in various locations that are each different. In the summer there are concessions open. You can feed the ducks (have to keep shooing away the seagulls though). There are picnic areas, a city conservatory/greenhouse that is open with formal gardens around it. There is a private marina next door and lots of parking but mostly on the east side; the west side from Lake Street has only limited gravel parking. Lots of paved walking paths and foot bridges and lots of room for the kids - on a warm evening or weekend the place will be full of families. Not really a tourist place but more for locals.
