This craft brewery is a labor of love for the owner, part of the Picard family (famous locally for their peanuts and so forth). Locally grown hops. A lot of attention to detail. Fun to try one of the three beers, and fun to buy some in unique small packages (not 12-packs!). The brewery is about two years old -- still new and fresh. Worth a trip if you are in the area or visiting the South Coast or London. The beer stacks up well with other Canadian craft beers and most of the big brands. You can find the beer in Port Dover restaurants, and perhaps you will discover it in other local eateries and bars.
My husband and I visited from Raleigh, NC over Labor Day. We took my 95 year old father for beer tasting. The staff was very knowledgeable and friendly. We had 3 complimentary beer tastings, which we all really good. My favorite was their potato beer. We purchased a glass of beer for $5 after the tasting. They also make fantastic kettle chips (we bought Salt & Vinegar, Dill Pickle and Ketchup). Unfortunately we left the chips in a bag, and while out to dinner that night our two little dogs ate the Dill Pickle and the bag of Ketchup chips - they loved them. At least they saved the Salt & Vinegar for us:) It is great to see businesses such as the brewery growing and thriving in this area. We will be back next year.
Located on a country road north of Delhi in Norfolk County, Ontario, Ramblin' Road Brewery Farm makes lager, ale and pilsener. Also, the brewery makes Dakota Pearl Ale from the same locally grown potatoes used to produce their kettle chips. Hops is growing right outside the door of the brewery! Super place to spend some time. Their beer is also on tap at Erie Beach Hotel in Port Dover. You can also book a tour for a larger group.
