First, I have been here many times, and can honestly say that the conservation authority does their best to make this a family friendly and diverse place to visit. If you are from this area, you'd know that they hold Christmas in the Country here at the end of November, also the Saugeen Field Naturalists hold Junior Naturalist here once per month, and the teacher is well versed in what she teaches. But if you are visiting, then you'd be happy to know this a quiet place to have a picnic, play on their play ground, take in their collection of birds and assortment of local animal. They have fish ponds. (No Fishing.) and then the natural phenomenon of a natural sulfur spring to explore. This place is meant for both learning and tranquility. If you are in the area, come, enjoy, bring some bread crumbs, just watch for the goose poop, which is a downfall near the larger ponds.

This conservation area is a great place for kids to come and blow off some stream. There are animals and park equipment. It's a nice, safe places to look around and explore nature. The sulphur spring is cool to see and the walk to it is nice to see all the nature around. The trails are nice year round.

We take our grandchildren, 4 & 2, several times during the year. They like to start with a visit to see the ducks and geese. (We pop popcorn at home to take for them to eat - baby ducks get sick on bread) We try and spot the fish in the 2 ponds. We usually visit the slide on our way to see the birds and walk around the deer enclosure hoping to get a glimpse of them. We end our visit with a trip to the swings and playground area. We could even bring a picnic lunch as there are picnic tables and a shelter.
