bay street salon and spa

I discovered Bay Street Salon and Spa almost 8 years ago. I was just moving in Embrun and wanted to start building up a new social group. From my point of view, there is no better place to meet other ladies that at the local spa. The location of the spa , couldn't be more perfect (it's just off Notre-Dame Street) , close to the grocery store, the Pharmacy, etc. The Spa's Building , well it's a superb house , with a huge parking lot ( never full) . When you get inside, you have a closet, where you leave your shoes and jackets , they even provide sleepers (Crocs). You walk to the counter, (it's like an open concept) , you can see around, it's nice and clean, everything is well presented, accessible (nothing to hide) . My fist visit was for a hair color . I was pitch black and wanted to go blond (almost platinum). I was assigned to a newly graduated hairdresser. I sat down in the chair, by the middle of the procedure , she told me that it didn't seem to work, she had a worried look . I got worried too! So, yes it didn't worked, my hair were all kinds of colours , except light blond. Her suggestion was to dye it back to my natural colour, I did ( I was only charged for that procedure). I returned home really upset and I swear to never returned there. For a few years I was going at different spas and Hairstylists , it was ok, but was not really happy with the results. So , about 2 years ago, I decided to give Bay Street Salon and Spa another try. My first appointment was for full waxing, It was with Michelle (she is one of the owner, she opened the Spa 15 years ago). We had a chance to talk during the procedure, I told her about my first experience at the spa (disaster with my hair). She was very understanding, calm, she seemed very caring and empathic toward my past experience. She was so nice and reassuring about the quality of her staff (presently). That I decided to book for more treatments. The week after my Waxing appointment, I was back for a hair colour (yes, Black of course) , I was assigned to Julie (very relaxed and easy going young lady) almost right away , I felt that I was in good hands. I even let her straighten my hair ( I am very picky when it comes to people playing around my hair) . The results were phenomenal . Since then Julie is my number one hairdresser (no body else touches my hair except me of course). After The waxing and the hair styling and colour, I decided to try the Massage therapy. My fist Massage package was with Michelle's sister (co-owner of the Spa, sorry I have forgot her name), I had a Scrub, Mud Bath (or something similar I don't remember exactly , but it was in a Bath tub) and the massage. Delightful ! In time, I have tried almost ever services that they offer (Manicure, Pedicure, with wax, etc.) , Massages, Hairs , Waxing (even the full bikini , but we did it gradually...it was not an easy task you can ask Michelle). Because of their professionalism , Experiences, Knowledge's (always ahead of the other spas with innovative techniques and products) and diversity in services and the products that they sell (they have a little boutique with purses, make-up, nail polishes, Jewellery, gifts ideas, etc.). I am now a regular client , I can't trust anyone else with my waxing and my hair . Would I recommend them ? Yes absolutely , to anyone! I have seen some toddlers having a hair cut and little girls having a princess's makeover for their birthdays (that is one of the special package that they offer). If you think you deserve the best in everything, you have to give them a try. For me , that's my biggest regret , I should have gave them another chance sooner. Thank you ladies!
