We played Half Moon Golf Club on a very windy day. The way the course is laid out you are either playing directly into the wind or straight downwind. Unfortunately, all the par 3s played into the wind making them extremely tough - and long.While the course is relatively flat and does not offer any sea views it was still a pleasure to play. There is a sufficient variety of holes - some short, some long and others large doglegs - which kept it interesting. The practice area is great so make sure to arrive early to get warmed up. The caddies were helpful most of the time and at times quite entertaining. Do take their advice on the green and how to play the wind.

I must say, the caddies are really good on giving you information on the yardage. They would pamper you to death, such as taking care of your golf clubs and really clean it for you before they put it back into your golf clubs, plus extra pampering at the end e.g. cleaning your shoes for you. It is money well spent....The golf course over all is excellent such as, lay out, greens, and well maintained.

Great experience. Nice and challenging course, very well maintained. The best Spencer Edwards as resort´s Director of Golf. I took a lesson and in only one hour he taught me more than a lot of teachers in days. It worths every dollar you invest !!! And what is better and should be a must: you finish your lesson and are able to enjoy playing golf immediately. And it gets better in a few days...

Robert Trent Jones design. Nice layout, easy walk, nice caddies. Rented clubs (provided no charge) so I cant complain, not a bad set Callaways. Water every two holes.Greens were a little rough, bumpy and slow.Sand traps had some limestone chucks in them, sand was thin making it hard to get under ball(shouldn't have been in them!)

it's a lovely course. you have to take a caddy, which marc and vernon were outstanding. the course isn't too difficult for all levels

This course is not like White Witch or Cinnamon Hill, but if you are looking to walk this is the course for you. The conditions of the course are good and the greens are in good shape. Little slow but good shape. Not the views of the others but played it on day 1 of vacation and glad I did. Change of pace from the others and a little easier. Good way to start after no playing for a couple of weeks.

We played a round at Half Moon Golf while staying in a nearby resort. Initially we had planned on playing at Cinnamon Hill (which I have played before). However Cinnamon Hill was under repair that week. Half Moon was a very good alternative and good value for the money. The course is not as challenging or as scenic as the Cinnamon Hill, but it is well kept and in very good condition. Just make sure to bring your sand iron.The two of us shared a caddy, and he was very nice and good at tips on tee offs and approaches, but he really could not and did not read the greens very well. Note that reading greens is challenging here as there is a mountain backdrop. I was a little astonished at times by how bad his reads were, and didn't dare to question them at first, but later just avoided them altogether. He got a nice tip regardless.I would recommend this course to anyone seeking an alternative to the others ones in Montego Bay area.

Enjoyed a great 18 holes with our very knowledgeable caddy Desmond. We will return to try and conquer the course.

Unlike White Witch and Tryall, Half Moon is a somewhat flat course. The challenges on the course stem from its length and from its bunkers. To my unhappiness, the greens were being aerated and sanded and the course REALLY NEEDS SOME SAND IN THE BUNKERS. Ask for Kevin as your caddie.

We weren't able to make our flight so after checking out of the resort, we checked into Half Moon Hotel. The service was great! The service was much better than the service we received at Iberostar Grand - Rose Hall.

I have played Half Moon golf course since 1982 and the course just gets better and better. The holes are very challenging, always in great shape, the greens are big but difficult. Always rely on the excellent caddies there because they can read the breaks in the greens a lot better than you. Caddies are always respectful and knowledgeable about the course. Always fun, but watch out for the last hole. Wont tell you why, but hope you dont find out on your own. Great hole.

the tennis courts are in great condition and the staff is excellent. We golfed a lot -- the caddies are great. The course was ok, not in great condition, but the island hadn't had rain in 6 weeks, so not really their fault.

What a fantastic resort . The accommodations were very nice and all type rooms are available from a villa to a room. The food is so good and variety is wonderful.

During our day in port in Montego Bay, we spent the day relaxing at the Half Moon Beach Resort. I haven't ever been to a more beautiful spot in all of the Caribbean. Even though we were day use guests, the staff was very friendly and treated us just like the over-night guests. My sister in law and I went to the spa for pedicures and the family swam and napped on the beach. Probably the most relaxing day of our cruise vacation. My husband and I are planning on coming back some day for our second honeymoon! :)

Incredible staff, fun layout, all the course you will need from the back tees. Our forecaddie was great.
