This is a Royal Caribbean private island that is simply stunning! This is the most beautiful place that I have ever visited. I have visited three times, in very different season, all of which were just as wonderfully amazing as the last. The island is largely undeveloped with several activities available during your visit. Beautiful white powder sands and warm ocean waters that are as clean and clear as bath water. We saw ocean life, sting rays, and sharks while floating along top the clear ocean waves! A must see for every tropical paradise lover! This is the place that you thought only existed in your dreams!

We had originally wanted to rent a cabana on coco cay, unfortunately they were sold out on the first full day of cruise, and they were not available on line before hand. If you want a cabana book it as soon as you get on board. I was afraid we would be disappointed, as it was 5 of us including my 2 year old son. Each cabinette is basically a half tent which covers two lounge chairs. $50 a piece. 2 large waters, 2 floating mats, and a fruit platter is supposed to be included. The water took an hour or so to come, but the fruit never appeared. Despite this, it was my favorite port because the cabinettes are in a private area on the island. I think this side of island was even cooler with more of a breeze. Only people who rented a cabinette were allowed, there was a little beach bar there too. Cons: it was a bit of a ride to the side of the island with food and other things, it is quite a walk to a bathroom, the food which is complimentary from the cruise was mediocre hot dogs and hamburgers, and we had to wait in a ridiculously long line in the blazing sun for probably 45 minutes, with a toddler. pros: well worth $100 for quite, privacy, and a beautiful private beach with a Bar right next to you. The cabinettes provided plenty of shade. Also, my mom had a headache and they drove her right over to the medical building to get her Tylenol, waited, and then brought her back.

Royal Caribbean's own lil island! It was absolutely beautiful. Hopefully we will be going back again next year.

We had so much fun at Coco Cay! The highlight of our stop there, besides snorkeling, which was fun, was para sailing! Here is my review and video of para sailing :) Hope you enjoy!http://cruisefrugally.com/2015/03/06/parasailing/

I just returned from a beautiful 4 night adventure on Royal Caribbean's Enchantment of the Seas!! Our first day was spent at their private island "Coco Cay". I cannot begin to tell you how beautiful this island is. From it's crystal clear waters to it sweeping palm tree views there is tons to take your breath away!!

We visited Coco Cay on our 7 day cruise out of New Orleans. It was a perfect day. Our first part of the day was an hour long kayak adventure. Great guides and very knowledgeable of the island and the surrounding islands. We saw all kinds of sea life. Boats were in great shape with comfortable seats. After kayaking we lounged in beach chairs under the shade. Royal Caribbean fixed a wonderful lunch on the island. It was great to get to relax and not be bothered by someone wanting to sell you something. There were several options of things to do including water toys, jet skis, snorkeling and a nature trail. There is no fee for just lounging in a beach chair, but there are fees for everything else.

Coco cay is a small island that is a stop of RC. It has many locals trying to sell overpriced trinkets in a straw market. The provided grilled lunch ( ribs, chicken, burgers and under seasoned cole slaw and salad) is edible at best ( I recommend returning to the ship for a real meal). Also, the bars don't open until 11.... which is fine but it was very hot and there was no water available either. If it is hot... bring it with you! There is everything water related to rent....but 2 floating mats will set you back 30 bucks!!!We did enjoy heading out of the populated area to a beach called Barefoot Beach... you can rent small cabanas and swim on a lovely quiet white sand beach.( and the RC staff will take u back and forth to the beach). or if you don't want to rent...you can just walk out to one of the many lounge chairs. There was a couple of small reef sharks and sting rays patrolling the area but they stayed far away. The water was crystal clear!! I think that is the best way to enjoy the island ...get there early, go to a more secluded beach, get an excursion and skip the lunch ...then head back to the ship before everyone else does!!!My family enjoyed the excursions that left from the island...My husband and son went on a shore dive and saw an anchor, an airplane engine and lots of fish. The staff was great. My daughter and I enjoyed that Stingray City just 5 minutes off shore by boat. We signed up on the ship. It was awesome!!! All of us thoroughly enjoyed our excursions. The island could get boring for a whole day without excursions or good weather unless you are a sun lover just wanting some quiet time on a beach. Have FUN!!!

Clean, sparkling sand, friendly staff, turquoise blue waters! Spent the day at Coco Cay while on our cruise and I was so impressed! The water is so crystal clear! I spent a lot of time on the rental floaty mat and watched fish swim by me even in the deeper waters. Lunch was great and had some fantastic homemade potato salad, great bbq chicken, soft and tender corn bread. I couldn't have asked for a better day. I will tell you that the UV rays come through with force so grab some sun screen or at least a cover up to wear part of the time. I've got a native American heritage but still turned red when I usually don't. Can't feel yourself burning til the damage is done!

My husband and I are not lay in the all day sun worshipers so we wondered what we would do while in Coco Cay. We decided to book a nature trail walk. It was very pleasant, we are glad we did this. We heard some history of the island and the surrounding islands. We learned a little about bush medicine and got to see some of the islands natural beauty. The weather was a little chilly and there was very low tides while we were there. Which limited the jet skiing, snorkeling, and water park area. I am glad we took the time and did the walk. This is a beautiful and peaceful island. We just did not luck out in the weather department at any of our stops, but hey even a bad day cruising is better than a good day in the snow!!

This by far has been my favorite little island paradise! The water is crystal clear and the beaches of what sand are amazing! While snorkeling, we saw a sting ray not too far off the beach...it was awesome! We also went on the jet ski tour and I would highly recommend this! The tour guides are very knowledgeable and professional. This was an overall AMAZING experience! I would go back in a heart beat!

It all depends on the weather! If it's sunny, get off the ship and go to the island. For $50 you can rent a cabanette, but you have to do it immediately when you get on the ship as they sell out. The cabinet te is two "clamshell " chaise lounges on a nice little beach. Or, just go over to the island a walk around. There are some straw markets run by locals as well as shops run by RCL. There's a BBQ at lunch. If it's rainy, stay on the ship!

We've been to about 10 different ports of call in 4 years & this is by far, my favorite. It's a small, beautiful island, crystal clear waters, & soft, white sand. Free beach, plenty of chairs. We were on a Carnival cruise & they provided the lunch, free of charge. And the fact that there aren't locals following you, trying to push stuff to sell was a refreshing bonus. There's a small straw market, but nobody was pushy at all. Don't miss this if you have the opportunity. It's like heaven on Earth.

If your idea of paradise is eight tourist trap shops selling overpriced trinkets,no music, and crappy lunches, then this may be the place for you. Beaches in South Florida are much nicer and cleaner than this place. Stay on the ship and do yourself a favor.

My husband and I recently spent a day here as part of our RC cruise. It was our favorite and most relaxing place on the itinerary. The water is calm, beautiful and the sand is soft, powdery, white. It really is heavenly. We both agree that we will never ever consider going on another cruise unless Coco Cay is a definite stop on the itinerary! Do not pass up a chance to visit this heavenly place <3

In spite of a misunderstandings regarding the availability of snorkel options while on the island, we had a great time relaxing in the sun.As I thought that paying $39 for snorkeling EQUIPMENT ONLY ( no tour, just basic instructions), I inquired here whether there were other cheaper options when on the island. I was told there was, but, in reality, the ONLY option is to pay Carnival $39 and pick up the equipment on site. After spending an hour searching for a 'vendor', we ended up in the STRAW MARKET, where we were directed to various booths selling a mask/snorkel combo for $20. Fins aren't available and, while helpful, are not necessary, which is good, b/c there weren't any available. With our $20 equipment, we headed into the crystal clear water, only to have the gizmo that holds the strap onto the mask snap off. Out of the water we went, back to the vendor, and were given an 'exchange' ( no refunds). this mask had an insufficient perimeter seals, so it leaked like... oh well, the water was warm and we swam around.**IF you want to snorkel and not pay $40 each for gear, i suggest you stop at walmart and get your own for about $14, and take it with you.Great day, nevertheless
