My wife and I are very amateur horse back riders, the guides and owner made us feel very comfortable. Easy to tell the owners love their horses and their island. Beautiful scenery.

Highly recommend this company for a great horseback riding experience. Very, very friendly people. John was very accommodating for scheduling, saddle and riding preferences. They probably felt interrogated with as many questions I was asking regarding their life on the island and how they cared for their horses, but were very conversational and friendly. I am a student on the sister island of St. Kitts and plan to take my mother and aunt to this company when they visit me to enjoy another ride!

Went for a lovely beach ride with Lucien as my guide and thoroughly enjoyed it. John and the team were very accommodating, I wanted to just go for an hour and have the opportunity to do more than walk so they arranged a separate ride for me. The horse was lovely, scenery beautiful and Lucien was an expert, friendly guide. Would highly recommend.

While on vacation recently in Nevis my husband and I decided to book a horseback ride. He's a more expert rider, and I'm more a novice. Our concierge recommended we go to the Equestrian Centre and we were so glad we did. Although they offered my husband the option of a separate more advanced guided ride, he opted to come along with me (and one other person). John (the owner) was our guide. We were both delighted with our experience. In addition to beautiful scenery and well-behaved horses, the wealth of information that John provided about the people and the history of the area was awesome. We enjoyed ourselves so much that we recommended the ride to two other couples who were staying at the resort with us. Both went and said it was terrific as well. Don't hesitate.... do this!

This place is terrific! John was personable & made sure we had the right horses for our riding experience (which was at the beginner level). He sent us on a ride with our guide, Lucien, who was great. Friendly and knowledgeable, he took us on the beach and up through the hills. We had beautiful weather and got some great views of the island. I would definitely recommend John's place for riding. An all around great experience with friendly people and great horses!

John is a history buff. His insight added much to our experience. The horses matched our experience level we'll.

This review is a bit delayed as we spent our honeymoon on Nevis in early October. It is important to me to write reviews about great experiences we had while we were on island so I apologize for the delay. My wife and I went horseback riding on our honeymoon and were lucky enough to ride with John and one of his newest guides. We had so much fun. My wife got to ride Big Boy and LaPuente (spelling?) was "lucky" to have me as I am about as inexperienced a rider as there is. Even though John told me not to, I couldn't help but let him eat whenever he wanted so I think he tolerated my lack of riding skills. We went on a nice leisurely ride through the woods and onto the beach then through the woods and on the beach again. We finished up through some pastures and neighborhoods and got to see a lot of the island that I am certain you cannot see from a taxi or bike.If you can I highly recommend you try and go with John as your guide. He has a wealth of knowledge about Nevis and my wife and I had so much fun asking him questions and learning way more about the island, the people and the culture than we could have imagined.I would recommend wearing jeans or long pants if you have them. It may be a bit warm but better than the alternative. If you are waffling over doing this while on Nevis, don't, it is a blast!

John the owner greeted us and made us feel at home. The animals were beautiful, and did in no way look like what you would normally see elsewhere on the islands. My wife was afraid,as it was her first time, so he took the time to select a horse suited to her, and spend the time necessary to make her feel at ease. Through the entire ride he took great care of us, with special attention to my wife. We did forests, beaches, towns, it was an amazing time, at a perfect pace. we would highly recommend the experience.

Fantastic experience, and with a lovely, knowledgeable guide called John. Horses are in excellent condition, very much loved and looked after. We did a 90 minute ride which included walking along the beach and up local hills. John pointed out different trees and plants, and talked us through some local history which really helped you get a feel of this gorgeous island. This lovely guy clearly has a love of his horses, and also of Nevis. All abilities of rider are catered for and there is no pressure to keep up with anyone, it's all very relaxed and chilled. One of us was an intermediate rider and one of us was a novice, having only ever been out once before on horseback, so don't let lack of experience put you off! If you're lucky enough to find yourself on this beautiful island, book yourself in. A truly amazing experience and one which we will remember always!

My fiancée and I went on a romantic sunset ride with John. Both beginner riders, we appreciated the dosile horses and the slow pace. We rode on Baby Boy and La Puenta and they were both great at reacting to the reins. They do love the grass and the leaves around but if you let them have on bite then they are happy to move on. We loved the walk up the hill and on the forest paths but must say that the beach walk was the absolute best. John was very knowledgeable about the island's history and delighted us with his stories. A bit of advice: wear long trousers and make sure you don't have sun burns on your legs!!

We liked the tame horses, wonderful scenery, and knowledgeable guides! We got to ride along the beach and up into the mountains with spectacular views.

My husband and I rode with John on a recent trip to Nevis. John's knowledge of the history of Nevis paired with great horses and unbelievable views made for a perfect ride!! Riding on a beach has been on my bucket list and this was exactly what I was looking for. Not touristy, just a real rider sharing his island!! Thanks John, hope to see you again soon.

I have rode horses maybe 2 times in my live and i have to say this was THE BEST adventure during our stay. The owner (sorry can't remember his name) was very knowledgeable, friendly and patient with me and my husband. $80 may seem alot but its well worth it. AWESOME!

My boyfriend and I had the best time and could not stop smiling after our horseback riding tour. The horses were very well behaved and sure footed. My boyfriend is a more experienced rider and liked that his horse matched his skill level. The tour was beautiful and the owner extremely friendly and knowledgeable about the island. This was our favorite activity on Nevis!! Definitely recommend for riders of all experience levels!
