Jibacoa是古巴最好的潜水点之一 这里只有两家酒店 游客多是欧美老人 海滩超级美 而且海滩出去没几米就是珊瑚。浮潜看到超多的热带鱼非常美。值得一游
Thousand and thousand of ocean stones and shells to choose from: right on the beach, daily new arrivals...
Playa de Jibacoa was the saving grace from the mishaps we had in Varadero. The beautiful beach is quieter and clearly laid out than Varadero, which we rather preferred. Unfortunately, we couldn't get a bungalow at Villa Loma as it was fully booked. But having an early afternoon cocktail and a good dinner at its Mirador Resto with a fantastic view of the beach was a real treat!
It is very good, just not as good as Varadero. We went over a trail at the beach for maybe 10 kilometer and it had a wonderful view but in some places it was dirty or muddy and hard to pass.Generally Jibacoa is a beautiful place to travel to, very impressive nature and calm environment perfect for relaxation.
To far from even a small town restaurant up the road lovely .as we like to have a walk and do a little shopping it was to far out for us .they do have a hike from hotel but to hard for me
It's possible the chef at Breezes Jibacoa is a former hospital dietician. The buffet was often low-salt, low-sugar and low fat. So that could be good if you were looking to get healthy. But no one at the hotel went hungry, either as there was always a selection.
This was my third visit to this hotel, I am a solo traveller and travel as much as I can afford. I usually do wildlife experiences , tours , adventure holidays, but to just chill out in beautiful surroundings I am drawn back to Breezes Jibacoa, the staff remember you , welcome you and if you have a grumble ,tell them , they will sort it cheerfully and quickly. It is not a gastronomic experience but the buffet has such a wide choice, there has to be something you would like, and you can visit the two themed restaurants which have improved each time I have been . The Beach Shack cooks as you order, limited menu ,I ate there every lunchtime ,my favourite place to eat. The deli snack bar delicious toasties. Bar staff work long hours but are always cheerful, cocktail bar a favourite Margueritas great. Special Cuban Coffee an entertainment just to watch them being made. Huge swimming pool, fun fitness team (I just watched) hey I was on CHILL! Beautiful backdrop of mountains Turkey Vultures circling the skies.Well maintained gardens, beach. Rooms cleaned every day, large airy, huge bed, I had pool view but had a lovely view of the sea as well. I will be going back next Dec.
Only a few vendors. Used mostly by the 2 resorts. Good for a short walk. Good for snorkelling. Sometimes has jellyfish.
This is a long beach with 2 hotels. You can walk on the sand which turns to rock and coral and then to more sany beaches along the coast. Goes for miles. Great reef for snorkling. Nice beach for swimming.
We were in February of 2013. The reef was amazing. We returned in April 2014. It is dead. A taxi driver told us that there was an oil spill. There are large oil fields and refineries to the east and west.
This beach offers fantastic snorkeling. The staff also provide Hobiecat boat rides from the Breezes. The windsurfer supplied was a bit of a pig, but still fun.
Beach has some rocky areas, but mostly it is nice fine sand. Long stretch of clear fine sand to west of Breezes- go for a walk.
The people, met a guy, who for $100 Cuban pesos, spent the WHOLE day taking us around the country, eating, drinking, seeing, visiting, what an experience
I hailed Gabriel’s Czech cab & struck a deal to take us about 60 km to Jibacoa & wait a couple of hours while we snorkeled. Gabriel is a pleasant guy. First spot we snorkeled, most of the dark spots we had seen from shore were seaweed & not interesting snorkeling. 2nd spot was coral reef right from water’s edge--Too shallow for comfort in some places, but we had a variety of coral & fish to watch close up. I picked through the coral washed up on the beach, Overall, good conditions & a nice, fresh break from the noise & pollution of Havana. We made a deal with Gabriel, to take us to the airport Friday. His phone # is 052733052—for those who want a guide to the closest good snorkeling to Havana.
Many people complain of a rocky shoreline but the Playa de Jibacoa has two coves of sandy beaches and although you may have to walk over a few large stones to get into the water (look out for where the local go into the water as they know the less rocky areas) it is well worth it to experience the warm Caribbean sea and watch the masses of fish swimming around your feet.If you have a snorkel and mask you will get an even better view of all there is below the water, including coral and shellfish.
