The place is very comfortably Filipino, with native inspired buildings which I'm comfortable with, lots of flowering and climbing plants, very quiet and laid back. We usually ordered our meals in advance so we got exactly what we wanted and everything was delicious.

The travel to Uacon is around 6 hours but all the wait is worth it. The boat ride is just 5-10 minutes. The beach has white sand and clean and clear water. You can roam around the island in 30 minutes. When visiting, bring your own drinking water and other supplies, there are no stores in the island. There are toilets and bathrooms - but I have to mention they're not clean. Day tour entrance is 100 and 300 for overnight. Bonfire is not allowed. the

if you are into camping potipot is a good place. me and my pals decided to have a weekend getaway in zambales and chose to camp in potipot island. boat fare for 4 pax is 400.00, boat ride will take you 5 mins to reach the island. we arrived on a friday early morning in the island. not so many campers since it's still a weekday. gather as many woods/bamboo you can find around the island for evening bonfire. beware of rats at night time. also bring mosquito repellant. roam around the island for photo ops..=) =) =) by the way entrance fee for overnight campers is 300/pax for day tours 100/pax.

Really great if not for the rude caretakers. This is a private island. There's a charge for staying here. There are no electricity. But on the nature side, this is really a great beach. Had it not been for the caretakers and awful service, id give this a 5.

Went to Potipot Island and arrived via boat in the evening. As we arrived, I walked with my flashlight on my phone to notice something moving. I flashed my flashlight on the nearest tree and it was full of cockroaches! We also discovered rats on the island! EEEEK! Now..the "roughin' it" aside, you could bring tents or it had little huts that you could rent and stay in that were clean and off the ground. They had a dining table and grills that were available. There was no electricity but water pump and bathrooms were available however, the bathrooms/showers were less than desireable but we discovered that is the case in most of the Philippines! In the morning we enjoyed the beautiful beach, views and lots of sand crabs, shells and ocean life such as cucumbers, starfish, barnacles and more! I could have done without the yuckiness (technical term!) however, the beach, shells and views were memorable!!!

Boat ride is 400php back and forth and you can add an additional 100 for the boat to encircle the island. You can, however, go around the whole island within just 30mins walk. Entrance fee to the island is 100php and an overnight stay fee is 300php. There is no electricity or any shops on the island though. I brought my own snorkle gear but you can rent one near the resorts before boating to the island. There are schools of fishes just near the beach so you don't have to snorkle far. My only complaint was there was something in the water that made my skin itch the next day. I went in with only my shorts and snorkle gear so if you plan on snorkeling long bring long sleeved clothing.

Theres a lot of awesome beach areas near Manila and I must say Potipot is one of them. Its just few hours away and 10 minutes travel by boat from the mainland. They have cottages (without fan) that could fit about 10 pax for 1500 Php per night. A cheap way to relax by the beautiful white sand and clear water (300 Php per pax overnight if yu have tent and 100 Php for day trips)..and if you get lucky you might see sea turtles around.

i enjoyed the sands and the seas but the island was not kept well... there are a lot of garbage everywhere

A 5 minute boat ride only making it more accessible and our guests are able to have more time doing their socials etc.This cute Cute Little Island is a must visit place as well here in Zambales.Great place to bring your loved ones, friends, work mates, team and so on and so forth.

There's an entrance fee of PHP 100 each for day tour, It's a private island you can go around the shore and has a clear water and white sand. Potipot Island is one of the popular beach getaway to be visit in Zambales but they need to improve their facilities like CR and accommodation. And don't forget to take a picture in driftwood, the most popular photo spot and every tourist came for this.

It was a weekend so you'd expect a lot of travelers. It must be a private island since you had to pay PHP 100 as an 'entrance fee' but only has CR for creature comforts. Cottages are paid separately. Trees are aplenty so staying in the shade is easy, even when swimming. Not sure if there's a lifeguard on-duty or security personnel. Ambulant vendors make sure you don't go hungry, thirsty or go home without souvenirs. Pretty commercial island for something so far from Manila.

This is rather a late post. Our third visit was in June 2013. We were always billeted at Dawal Resort, which is 5 minutes boat ride to Potipot Island. A lot of tourists drop by the island because it boasts of its clear blue water, white fine sand, marine sanctuary, and is surrounded by trees. It is a private property & the owner has been successful preserving its natural state & clean surroundings. An entrance fee per person is being collected upon docking in. There is no electricity, source of water was thru deep well, stalls for toilet & bath were strategically located in an open space almost middle of the island. There were few cottages, man made wooden tables & benches & grilling area which can be used for free, however it is on a first-come-first-serve basis. For overnight campers, a clearing in the middle of the island is allocated where tents can be pitched & bonfires lit. Electricty thru generator can be provided for campers upon discretion of the owner, mostly for 2 hours only, we were told. Thrice a day management made sure the island was being cleaned and cleared of trash. A new addition to the island was the hut near the docking area where sodas, chips, ice, coal & other necessities were being sold by the island caretakers, as their additional income. Boats managed & owned by other resorts were only allowed to bring in guests & pick them up at requested time. Boats were not allowed to overstay at the dock. Good reason why you can swim freely and snorkel around the island without obstructions. The deep area , where a sanctuary is located, is marked by rubber floaters. The slope of the sand is gradual & sea grass abound in some areas. Great place to commune with nature, family picnics & relaxation !

Clear water, white sand, laid back ambiance. What more can you ask for? They just need to provide decent accommodation and wash room. But backpackers will love this place. All you have to do is set up a tent if you want to stay overnight. Day tours are available as well.

We had our day tour in the virgin island of Potipot. White sand, clear water and there are trees near the ocean. The comfort rooms are however not that good but I guess this is already expected so we decided to stay during the night in beach resorts. The cottages are affordable and you can cook your food there. The island is just small and you can tour in the island for 10 minutes. It's a great place to enjoy the summer. By the way it is 5-hour bus ride from San Fernando Pampanga.
