rebunto island

2011年8月里,我有机会去看Rishiri Rebun国家公园里的Rebun。这里景色美极了!这座岛很原始,只有一些渔民和日本游客。有几条走道,标识很清楚,爬上斜坡就能看见海洋的美景,还有各种漂亮的野花。

When: August endHow we got there: Took the 7:13 pm train from Asahikawa to Wakkanai, stayed overnight at Wakkanai and took the early morning Hearland ferry from Wakkanai to Kafuka in Rebun.Where we stayed: 1. stayed overnight at the Wakkanai Sun Hotel. It was yuck. YUCK. They only had smoking rooms available which meant the place was overwhelmingly stinky; the bed was really bad, the pillows weird and the floor was sticky. Like I said, it was yuck. Au contraire, the next hotel: 2. In Rebun we stayed at the really pretty Petit Corinthian hotel. Loved this hotel and its really well designed and decorated rooms. As you'd have guessed, I'd really recommend this to anyone staying in Rebun.What we did: the 4 hour walk. We began at cape sky and ended at the bus stop at the north west corner of Rebun. The hike was a delight. The views of the unspoilt green hills was seriously amazing. I will get the pics from my camera soon and upload them. The hike was easy, with bamboo 'stairs' made in some places and rugs spread out in others. On this trip to Hokkaido, I visited Shiretoko Goko, Furano, Biei, Asahikawa, cycled around Lakes Abashiri, Tofutsu and Notoro and I have no doubts in saying that this hike around Rebun was the best part of the trip.

For three months a year this is a beautiful accessible island. Over 300 varieties of wild flowers. The island is a ferry ride from wakkinai. The locals harvest sea urchines and farm kelp. There is wonderful hiking and a ferry to rishiri takes you to the little fuji mountain for a spectacular climb.

We visited Rebun n September. There was no flowers left by then. The landscape is ok and we are extremely jaded travelers. The problem with Rebun was the newness and ugly architecture. When the boat gets in our first reaction was, "This is ugly". It did not change. We stayed in Pension Uni which was beautifully new and clean and extremely reasonable in terms of price for what it gives you. The owners are superb and the dinner and breakfast were excellent. Next morning they drove us literally all over the island (for free) because we did not have enough time to walk around. For this experience alone it was worth going to Rebun but if you have never been to Japan, skip everything except Nibutani in Hokkaido, in my humble opinion.

My family (2 adults and a teenage daughter) spent a day hiking at Rebun Island and the following were our experiences :Pro =>a) Excellent hiking trails with excellent views.b) Beautiful wild mountain flowers during spring.c) Trails are well marked.Con =>a) Maps in English is inadequate.b) Buses are very infrequent. Check with the bus timetable in the ferry to the island. We had to take expensive taxis because of the infrequent bus services.c) It takes almost a day to cover the 'Elderwiss Trail'.We would like to visit again especially to hike the other bigger island call Rishiri Island.

The flatter island of a pair near Wakkanai. Noted for its flowers for some unknown reason. Nothing special in that department. The inns on this island have a cooperative agreement, so there is basically one high price for very mediocre accommodations. Best thing is that you get a good view of Mt. Rishi-Fuji on clear days.

I used my Japan Rail pass to go to the most northerly station - Wakkenai (which I really liked) and then the exciting ferry journey to Rebun. Beautiful scenery and plenty to do.

島全体は草原の丘のように見える島。ウニやエビが手ごろな値段で食べることができるし、草花の好きな方には最高です。私は９月半ばに行きましたので盛りは過ぎていましたが、まだかなりの数の花が咲いていました。歩くのをお勧めします。

初めて礼文に訪れました。花のベストシーズンではなかったが素敵な島です。現地は定観が便利ですが交通に気を付ければレンタバイクも便利。１時間単位で借りれます。

礼文島4時間コースを歩きました。スコトン岬～ゴロタ岬～鉄府～澄海岬～浜中。海の青さと、空の青さと、山の緑、それしかないですが、とても美しいです。心に残る美しさです。

高山植物が咲く、花の浮島として有名な島です。もともと高山植物などに詳しくはないのですが、それでも花を見ながらのトレッキングは楽しく、魅力的な島だと思います。タクシーを利用したときに運転手さんに聞いたところ、花の時期も過ぎたお盆過ぎになると観光客もかなり少なくなるようです。今回は６月に訪問しましたが、お盆過ぎや９月にのんびりトレッキングを楽しむのもいい気がしました。

６月末の花満開の時期に行きました。現地の人曰く、今年は開花が早いらしく８月だと花無いかもと言ってました。トレッキング三昧疲れましたが花に囲まれ気持ちよかったです。売店がほとんど途中にないので、弁当などを持って行くことをお勧めします

稚内からのフェリーにたまたま「あつもん（礼文島のゆるきゃら）」と町長が乗り合わせていて、船内でイベントがあったこともあり上陸前から期待していましたが、とにかく島の中はどこに行っても見たことのない花があり、写真を撮りっぱなしでした。とくに「レブンアツモリソウ」は実物を見ると美しさに感動します。他にも「レブンウスユキソウ」の可憐さにも惹かれます。また、ばふんウニは最高に美味しいし、昆布も素晴らしく、美味しいものもたくさんあるので是非訪れてほしい場所です。

観光バスで有名どころを回るもヨシ！トレッキングで島一周するもヨシ！海の幸も豊富だし、島のどこでも（平地でも）高山植物が多く見ることができるので都会暮らしの人からすれば別世界という言葉がピタリとあてはまります。

メディアでものすごく報道された例の大雨の後に訪問しました。島の全長は利尻島ほどではないですが、舗装された道路は島の右側くらいしかないので、車で端から端まで行こうと思うと、あっという間です。景色などは言わずもがなですが、レンタカー料金は離島料金なだけあってぶっとんでいるので、覚悟しておくように。
