Yerevan Brandy Factory is one of the symbols of Armenia. They organize sightseeing tours every day. During the tour they tell the history of the factory, show the halls where the cognac is aged, and the most important part - degustation :)

nice and interesting place with good information about brandies which a woman gives us as a Guidance. we also test a 3 and 10 years old cognac which was awesome . and there were all kind of brandies particularly which was Churchill's favorite.

An extremely interesting tour. The people showed us the hospitality for which the Armenian people are renowned.We really enjoyed the interesting historical aspects of the development of this nectar of the angels, from its collection and harvesting, through the double distilling process, the historical anecdotes, and artifacts as well as the conservation and preparation of the special wooden storage casks.There is a photo-shooting session at the end sometimes for those interested as well as the possibility of a tasting experience at the end of the tour for a reasonable fee. Finally you can purchase your own brandy according to vintage and price to suit your needs from the factory shop. We found it all pretty fascinating.

I would recommend to visit Yerevan Brandy Factory to all guests of Yerevan. The tour takes you through the process of making the finest brandy in the territory of former Soviet Union. The main hall, where the barrels donated to famous people and presidents of different countries are stored, with their names and signatures on it, is very impressive. Although the factory is managed by a french Pernod Ricard company currently, the technologies and traditions are the same since the factory foundation. After the tour you will be offered a degustation of finest Armenia brandy and the guide will also uncover the secret of distinguishing the real brandy from fake one.

Visited on spec with a colleague after a conference in Yerevan. Came here in 2009 and about 2 years ago they revamped the tour with hologram displays to accompany the guides spiel. It was very good and at the end you get to taste a couple of different glasses of brandy. They also have a shop that sells the brandy cheaper than at Yerevan duty free.

We had 2 groups divided into Russian and French speaking Group. The tour is very well organized with a very professional and pleasant tour guide who speaks excellent French!! The brandy tasting is also very nice. However, in general, and compared to the tour to Noy Brandy factory -it's quite short and not as detailed. Noy factory has a deeper history behind and you are also allowed to visit the cellars.

I really enjoyed this tour. Informative and easily understandable, we were given a tour by a young lady, I think named Shusan, (sorry if that's not right!), that was excellently presented with multimedia and videos and fascinating. The tour shows you how this excellent drink is made and distilled and the origins of the company. The guides english was excellent and of course the highlight is the tasting. It's not just boozing though, you are taught the technique of tasting and some wonderful traditions relating to the brandy and even better for those of us from the UK and Europe where brandy is expensive you can buy from the factories own shop and it's quite reasonable. One of the best trips I did in Yerevan.

We visited the Ararat Brandy Company to see what all the fuss was about.. And we were not disappointed! For 5,000 Armenian dram ($12 US) you get an educational & informative tour of the premises. The smells coming from the barrels as you wander through get the senses going. The "peace" barrel, which is to be opened when Turkey & Nagorno-Karabakh sign a peace deal, gives you a chance to write your name & country on a real barrel of Ararat Brandy. There are tours in various languages; you can ring them direct to get times, etc. After your tour comes the tasting!! You get to taste a 5 & a 10 year old brandy. (The other option us you can pay for the 10,000 dram tour & try the 20 year brandy. This is the ONLY difference between the two tour options, so unless you're a brandy enthusiast, the 5,000 dram tour is best!). We were there with a group enjoyed the presentation by one of their female presenter and came to know more about brandy and Cognac.Presentation was excellent and knowledgeable.This place is not to miss while visiting Yerevan specially foreign tourists.

Just kidding. You have to book a tour. It takes about an hour and you're familiarised with the process. The best part, of course, is the tasting at the end. It's useful to be told how you should drink it and what to look for. Well worth a visit.

The plant is an excursion. during the tour you can go shopping in the shops of storage products. To see how aged brandy. To listen to interesting stories about the peculiarities of Armenian brandy. To absorb the smells that filled these areas for many years. The main thing is not to smoke, dangerous. All soaked in alcohol aromas. And in the end offered to taste brandy different extracts. And buy rare blends. I liked it. It is worth to spend time on it.

Se pode entender como este cognac maravilhoso é produzido, conhecer as dependências da fábrica já desativada, fazer um retorno ao passado que remonta ao apogeu da YBF e ao final degustar o cognac maravilhoso. Imperdível experiência de vida.

...für alle, die an armenischem Brandy interessiert sind. Gehört zu einem internationalen Grosskonzern und man besichtigt keine Produktionsanlagen (die sind an anderen Orten Armeniens) aber auf jeden Fall ein interessanter historischer Überblick über eine der wichtigsten Brandy Fabriken der ehemaligen Sowjetunion. Wir haben spontan eine Privat-Führung auf englisch bekommen, sehr charmanter und kompetenter Guide - würde allerdings empfehlen, die Führung eher nachmittags zu machen - vormittags ist ein ausgiebiges Brandy Tasting eine Ansage... Ich würde die edlere Version der beiden Tastings empfehlen, es lohnt sich.

Были с семьей в январе. Это гордость Армении! Очень приятное место. Шикарная экскурсия и дегустация. Очаровательная девушка гид. Потом была логичная покупка коньяка, который был опробован на дегустации. Все были в восторге!

Если вы скажете, что не любите коньяк, значит вам надо посетить дегустацию на заводе АрАрАт. Там под руководством опытного сомелье (не знаю, как называются люди, профессионально дегустирующие коньяк) вам откроедся богатый мир этого восхитительного напитка!
