Scary little climb up and down stairs, but well worth it.Entire city to be seen - and beyond. This is where our city tour - by carriage - ended.City tour worth it too!
Was very happy to see this old church and climb to the top of the bell tower. The views were amazing and inspiring. I encourage a trip to the church
Climb the bell tower. The whole city is the background for your photograph. You may touch the bells, but don't ring them.
My sister and I attended Ash Wednesday in this church. I loved how quaint this hotel is and the architecture as well. I just loved churches anyway, this is one of my favorites :-)
The bell tower view of Granada, Nicaragua is stunning. The breeze is quite refreshing as well. Well worth the $1 USD donation They do prefer exact change
For only $1 you can climb to the top and look out over granada. Worth every penny! There is just a person sitting at the entrance of the church at a table, so we didn't realize at first that was where to enter the stairs.
For a marvelous view of Grenada, climb the bell tower of La Merced. The church itself is a quiet, cool oasis near the center of town.
One of the only places in Granada where yu can get a spectacular 360 degree view of the colonial town of Granada. The red roof tops are eye-candy!
take a horse and buggy ride and go to this church and go to the top to view the city of Granada, very cool.
The historic La Merced is one of the most beautiful churches in Granada. It is a short two-block walk from the Plaza Colon. The church's bell tower offers the best views of Granada. The climb up the narrow staircase is relatively easy and you can ascend any time the church is open (with the exception of Sundays and when church services are in session). The church was typically open by 10AM, though 11AM is a safe bet on week days.
For just $1 (and a slightly claustrophobic climb), this church offers one of the best views of Granada. You have a 360 degree view of the city, though it can get quite crowded at the top. Worth it if you have the time!
Every team we bring to Granada schedule their free time so they can take advantage of the 360 degree view of Granada from the bell tower. Anytime is good but sunsets are especially good for taking photos! Well worth the $1 for the entry fee and the steep stairs! Just three blocks off Parque Central on Calle Real Xalteva.
If you visit Granada ,this is a good place to have a 360 view of the town and the region.the stairway is a bit steep and narrow at the beginning put not that bad, worth the dollarit cost to go up there.
We visited on a Sunday when the Priest was christening babies. The church was full of kids, running around, making noise. Obviously a real place of community. The stained glass windows are priceless and the architecture is lovely. It's not Notre Dame, but this town isn't Paris, either.
$1 to go up the bell tower and get great views of the city. We did not hear the ringing of the bell but it is still meant to be used. Definitely worth it.
