It is free to walk around the large cathedral right off the main square. Its interior is quite spacious and has some interesting features. It is worth a quick stop.
So beautiful to photograph, you have so many different angles and options. We missed getting into the cathedral, they were closing doors when we got there, maybe next time :)
I love this cathedral, so amazing and unique. How can you not like Cathedrals? This one is just interesting and worth seeing. Stop by and check it out. love, love, love
The cathedral fronts on Parque Central. It is well maintained and attractive, with an active congregation. Sit on the steps and watch the town go by.
20th century built. Dwarfs the genuine colonial buildings in the square. Looks like a Disney version of a colonial cathedral on a bad day.
Love the Plaza area and this church is amazing to see. Good area and good vibe. A nice way to spend an hour near the Plaza.
A very beautiful building in Bright yellow and white colours outside, but rather plain and boring inside. So one does not need to go inside the Catedral, because it is the outside which is stunning!
Free to enter, pleasant quiet cathedral, not spectacular inside. For $1 we went up the tower. A steep but easy walk for good views over Granada.
Slow yourself down, relax in the shade of the plaza and enjoy the view of the Cathedral. It's especially active on Sunday afternoon with a local band and lots of kids. Sunday Funday. From there it is a 30 minute stroll to the lake via Calle Calzada.
Beautiful colonial architecture on the outside. The inside is just okay, nothing remarkable. Worth a quick visit inside and lovely to see the outside from many areas of the town of Granada.
If you want to see an amazing Cathedral I would recommend this highly. Beautiful Country, City and Cathedral
Beautifully maintained and colorful. A must see while in Granada as it sits right in the middle of the town square. Take a walk through and enjoy the historical value that this church represents.
This cathedral is worth the visit. We loved the yellow color on the outside. It makes for great pictures.Even though I liked the interior of the Cathedral at León more, visiting Granada's was one of the highlights of this town.
The gloriously vivid outside belies the simple plainess of the interior. This is actually charming as it sets out to provide what it should, a place of worship for those who want it, rather than awe inspiring icons.
The church is a nice landmark in Granada but if you compare to other churches in South and Central America its just average...The Cathedral in Leon is by far nicer..(By the way the only Uneseco World Heritage Site in Nicaragua)Salta
