Had a very positive experience. Well organized, felt safe, friendly staff and enjoyed the experience a great deal. Would recommend to others.
So much fun! Diego and his staff are awesome. They are patient and very thorough in "pre-flight" instructions to insure your safety. There are plenty of guides during the tour to help if you happen to get stuck, although that was not a problem on the day we went. The scenery is awesome, if a little brown because of the dry season, but that didn't really matter. If you want to experience the ultimate thrill, you have to try a couple of the lines upside down!!! Too much fun to look down and see the sky. Don't worry it's safe as one of the guides will be with you in tandem and guides at the far end will catch you when you land.I highly recommend this group.
We booked the zip lining excursion through our hotel, and it was wonderful. The staff was professional and very fun. They joked with us the entire time, and we felt perfectly safe from start to finish. I would definitely do it again, and I wholeheartedly recommend Pura Aventura to anybody. Make sure you take in the views while you're out on the line. The views are amazing!
Pura Aventura was a great day - kids (7-14) and adults alike did the zip line and had a blast. Felt very safe the whole time. Staff, as one of our friends put it, were "joyful" - the guys were having fun with each other and the guests all along, joking and pranking.
Best: when one of the guides asked if I was having fun and I replied yea - nice - not as exciting as I hoped, he had me zipline tandem to him so he could keep us on course while I rode upside-down. Nice but short (1.5 hrs when 1:1 including bike adjustments etc) trail bike riding. Really lovely staff.
Kids did the zip line and had a great time. Adults did horseback riding and had an equally good time. Highly recommend the adventure. 30 minute ride from Tamarindo. Best road we have been on in 5 days.
This ride is amazing, huge ziplines, great guides, totally safe. Worth each minute there, you should try the upside down in the longest line, it's awesome!!!Thanks a lot Ticos, pura vida!Abrazos del casal de brasileños!! (donde esta mi novio?? jajajaja)
We were staying not far from this attraction in Playa Junquillal and so this was a great activity for us without too long of a drive and we could still enjoy a swim at our condo afterwards. The staff was really good, humorous and spoke good English and made this zip line adventure fun. We were a bit disappointed in the one guide who spent too much time on his cellphone (while hooking and unhooking us to the cables!) though and hope it was just a rare occasion or emergency at home. Reasonably priced at $50. Go earlier in the day as it is not super shaded so you wont bake! We saw/heard howler monkeys and enjoyed the fun truck ride through the cattle ranch and up to the starting point. Beautiful views from the top and while you are zipping over canyons! Enjoyed complimentary fresh fruit afterwards and bought a delicious cup of coffee! You must try the caribeener game upstairs too while enjoying the great view,
We got married in Tamarindo and had all of the guests for our small wedding (20) come out to Pura Aventura for zip-lining the day before the wedding. Fun was had by every single member of our group- from the 7 year olds to the 87 year olds. They all loved it! Diego was an excellent guide and all of his crew were fun and professional. We had a blast! Thanks guys!
I have been twice now, and the staff is very fun and friendly but safe too. There are lots of zipline tours to choose from, this one it the best!
It was our first time zip lining and we loved it. We were a group of about 12 and we had 6 guides. Some lines were longer than others, and the total was about 2 hours. We had a small mixup about how we were paying, with our hotel having made the reservation, and Diego, the leader, was very professional in handling it. They picked us up in town in Tamarindo and took us back, for no extra charge.
Stayed at 4 Seasons Papagayo, bus picked us up as we traveled about 1 1/2hr to this spot. Fabulous adventure on the river viewing lots of bird, monkey, iguana, and gator species. highly reccommend
We did the Canopy Tour with Ariel, Aaron, and Maxi. The guides were very friendly and communicated well in English as well as Spanish. It was simply amazing... The views were spectacular! The Tarzan swing was exhilarating and the entire trip is photographed and videoed by Maxi (In spite of the fact that it was raining during our zip-lining) We had so much fun, words can't convey the feeling of soaring through the rainforest 150 ft. above the ground! They include transportation and some fruit after the high-flying is over, to bring you back after all the adrenaline rushes. :)
Just had my second visit at this attraction in a year's time. Both visits were fun! The crew was very safety conscious, helpful and just plain fun to be around. The zip line rides were awesome. Definitely a do-over next trip!
I hadn't been horseback riding since I was a pre-teen so I was not sure what to expect. Our group was Ages 7-60+ and all had a great time. First everyone felt very safe there was a guide leading the group in the front and one guide behind the group. Our seven year old daughter who was very nervous went on her own horse and the guide held the reigns for her the entire way. Our 10 year old daughter was a real pro and went on her own. The activity was about an hour and a half, went through fields where we were beside cows and bulls then into and up a forest/mountain and back. The scenery was fantastic and and the trail a lot of fun. We didnt do any galloping I'm not sure if that was because of our group or because of the venue if you are more experienced find out beforehand if they can suit your level. Also drink well beforehand and use sunscreen its hot and in parts of the trail you are completely exposed with no shade. Price seemed to be very reasonable $50.00 per person (cash only no credit cards) and included transportation. In matter of fact the only dissapointment was the transportation. The van that picked us up made several stops so even though we were only 20 minutes from the venue the actual trip there was about an hour. As with every activity in Costa Rica tipping is expected make sure to bring small bills.
