Very quirky tower with a lovely spiral staircase and a cool hidden glass floored hollow core which is the geographical centre of Denmark. Well worth the relatively cheap entrance fee.
As a new attraction you can now see the tower's core by standing on a glass floor, hovering 25 metres above the ground. The glass is more than 50 mm thick and can carry up to 900 kg per square meter. This walk also leads to the library hall, which once housed the entire book collection of the university. The famous Danish writer H.C. Andersen used to visit the library and he found inspiration for his work here. Today the hall serves as the framework for exhibitions of art, culture, history and science.
This place is best to see whilst strolling around the city. It is a very cheap attraction and only takes a short time to go up and come down. Interesting architecture
The view from the top offers a great introduction to Copenhagen. It helps to be with a local or to have done a little research in advance.
Good view of the city, interesting history, not worth paying the entrance fee, visit Our Savior Church instead.
It´s not that is the highest view point in the world, but it´s nice, that your kids can acutally run up and down on an inside flat track. So we use in winter time, so the y can use some energy;) - and next by is one fo the best pølsevogn (take away hotdogs) in town - with high quality sausages and a healthy side offer.
While in Copenhagen city center, it is a good opportunity in nice weather to spend half an hour walking to the top of the round tower to see the view.
It's cheap to get in (just over £2.50 or free with the Copenhagen Card) and there are some interesting exhibits on the way up. However, the best thing about it is the 360 degree view from the top of the tower. It's also an easy climb as most of it is via a spiral ramp. Definitely worth a visit.
Rather than climbing stairs, mostly you climb a cobbled slope. Really good fun. There's taller places in the city to get good views but this one is great and has a unique charm. Cheap too.
We were looking for a way to see the skyline and this proved to be the best. Located right in the heart of the shopping area.At a cost of approx £5 for 2 adults, we climbed around and around the center of the tower on what looks like a cobbled path finally reaching a small winding staircase to the top.The views, whilst not particularly picturesque, cover the city and landmarks further afield like the bridge over to Sweden as well as the Swedish coast. One of the cheapest attractions in Copenhagen.
Great views of the city from all levels. Their is a viewing platform at the very top with a 360 views of the whole city. Inside is a spiral ramp leading most of the way up but the last part is a stair case followed by a narrower spiral staircase.
A very nice, cheap, attraction to enable you to see the city of Copenhagen from above. When we were there there was also a vintage market being held within the complex of the tower so this gave an added bonus to us to have a look around. Benefit for those with pushchairs/wheelchairs is that the majority of the walk to the tower is via a slope, rather than stairs (until the last part where there are quite narrow stairs), so it is more accessible that many towers I have previously been too.
its not expensive so if you're in the area you can give it a try. if you are keen on walking up.the view is nothing special - not like prague or other cities.other than spotting palaces in the distance, the view is just standard roofstry the stuffed sausages just outside
